Gathering Node Xp Gain

To level up the Gathering classes - Farming, Fishing, Mining, and Woodcutting - the player harvests respawning resource nodes that can be found around the world, each having 11 tiers and a minimum Gathering level requirement, with each node giving XP when gathered that is selected out of a range of XP values. @HowToZombie made a post on Jan 19th 2019 trying to collect the gathering XP gain ranges and requirements (unfortunately I can't post the link because I'm new to the forums). The XP requirements were given by @Salted, but the XP gain ranges only went up to the level 30 nodes before getting locked, and are currently dated and incorrect.

Here are the results I've come up with from testing. I may have been unlucky and missed a number from these, and am currently working on levelling up to get the data for the higher tier nodes, and would appreciate it if someone helped me with this and sent me proof of the results they found if they differ from mine. Note that left clicking and right clicking give the same XP, and this is without any Gathering XP Bonus, so is just the range of base values.

• Level 1 Nodes - 12 to 18 XP
• Level 10 Nodes - 29 to 47 XP
• Level 20 Nodes - 60 to 90 XP
• Level 30 Nodes - 99 to 148 XP
• Level 40 Nodes - 146 to 219 XP
• Level 50 Nodes - 207 to 346 XP (Thanks to @Shots)
• Level 60 Nodes - 334 to 507 XP (Thanks to @Shots)
• Level 70 Nodes - 503 to 752 XP (Thanks to @Shots)
• Level 80 Nodes - 737 to 1093 XP (Thanks to @CrunchyCol)
• Level 90 Nodes - <X> to <Y> XP
• Level 100 Nodes - <X> to <Y> XP
• Level 110 Nodes - <X> to <Y> XP

EDIT: When you're 15 levels above the level of a node, you get a reduced amount, this also needs to be figured out at some point.

 

I'd recommend you format it like this:

• Level 1 Nodes - 12 to 18 XP
• Level 10 Nodes - 29 to 47 XP (17-29 XP more than level 1)
  
• Level 20 Nodes - 60 to 89 XP (31-42 XP more than level 10)
  
• Level 30 Nodes - 99 to 148 XP (33-59 XP more than level 20
  
• Level 40 Nodes - <X> to <Y> XP
• Level 50 Nodes - <X> to <Y> XP
• Level 60 Nodes - <X> to <Y> XP
• Level 70 Nodes - <X> to <Y> XP
• Level 80 Nodes - <X> to <Y> XP
• Level 90 Nodes - <X> to <Y> XP
• Level 100 Nodes - <X> to <Y> XP

I don't think the change is that relevant, since it doesn't seem to follow a pattern (and if it does, I don't see one) but it might be useful

EDIT: It seems that, just like Combat XP, when you're overlevelled you get less XP from the resources. I'm not sure by how much it is reduced, so if anyone has any theories, please tell me. However, I do know that it happens when you're 15 Gathering levels above the level of the node.

 

Level 50 is around 200 (lowest I've gotten is 207)-350 (highest I've gotten is 346) per node. Unfortunately, I didn't even think about the new xp amount till seeing this, so I didn't gather the level 40s info.

 

Oh hi, love your vids. I'm currently working on the level 40 nodes. All the nodes are the same, regardless of gathering job, so I'm just levelling woodcutting and the level 40s seem to be about 146 to 219 so far, but of course that could still be wrong (I found out that the level 20 nodes actually went up to 90 instead of 89 only a couple hours ago).
Thanks for the values for level 50 nodes, I'll still be looking at them when I'm levelling in case there might be some that you didn't notice.

 

Level 80 is 745-1087 xp per node from the testing I've done since the update.

 

I'm only level 51 in a Gathering class at the moment, so I won't be able to test that @CrunchyCol, would it be possible if you sent some screenshots? Preferably of the 745 and 1087, but with how wide of a range that is just having something close would be good as a start.

 

The range appears to be ~330-510. The lowest with a ss I've gotten is 339, while the max is 507.


At one point, I did get 334 when I was fishing, but I didn't manage to get the ss in time.

 

For the level 50 nodes, I've only gotten down to 224-334, compared to you 207-346 @Shots. I may just be unlucky though, and I'll still be cutting level 50 wood nodes for another 3 levels, and then I'll eventually have to go through it all again with Farming, Fishing, and Mining to get more accurate ranges. Are you certain about your range for level 50s?

 

Relatively, yes. It seems that it's very rare where the xp hits either the extremely high end or the abysmal low end. For example, I'm very rarely getting above 495 or below 345 in the current level 60s I'm at, although it can happen where I get a higher or lower amount than those as shown by the screenshots above. 224-334 sounds more accurate for an average range though, since 207 and 346 would respectively be the abysmal low and the extreme high areas as described.

EDIT: After looking at the other xp amounts, it would seem that whatever the rough absolute max is for one level of material, that is roughly the absolute min for the next respective level, save for levels 1-20. Thus, I may have mistaken 217 as 207, since if the rough absolute max holds true for the level 40s, 217 would make more sense. If this pattern also continues, then it's safe to infer the level 70 xp range will be roughly 500-750, assuming the minimum for level 80 is correct.

 

The max I found is actually 1093 after some more testing. I also saw a node with 737 xp and another with 738 xp but unfortunately I didn't get screenshots of those ones in time.

 

Lowest with and highest with a ss I've gotten is 503 and 752.

So,
