SPOILER Eldritch Outlook Boss Is Awful

    When playing in groups, you don't mess up and die to the laser, you get chosen at random. One hit KO mechanics are almost always bad unless they can be easily avoided. The wretches can not be easily avoided. You might be playing a class with a build which works well with the fight, but a lot of builds get completely shit on because they don't have the ability to deal with the wretches at all. I was able to heal up after most of the wretch attacks, but if you get unlucky and get a wretch deathbeam and a cube at the same time it's basically game over for any build. If the wretch death beam was replaced with a unhealable debuff for a short amount of time or some paralysis effect it I might be more inclined to agree with you that the boss is alright, but it's just way too broken to be fun at the moment.

    #1 The laser is ALWAYS at the center, the blue wave is easy to dodge
    #2 The wretches are very easy to dodge, if you cant deal 30k in 5 seconds you have other problems with your build

    As a spell mage, meteor is my source of damage. I can easily deal 30K in 5 seconds, that isn't the problem. The problem is hitting the thing 5 times when it's moving and meteor targets the eye. Mages don't even have it that bad either, at least they can heal, but for a build with poison or a slow melee build or a tank it's insanely hard to stop the wretches.

    Blue wave is fine, laser is whatever. My problem lies solely with is with the wretch death gaze beam thing, his spell spam with multiple people and his health. (I was calling wretch death beam the laser before so that's my bad, I've been calling the wretch thing "laser" and the laser thing "cube" so that miscommunication is entirely on me).

    sometimes fights are good for certain builds, sometimes they're bad. such as elemental resist fights

    Sure, but elemental defenses are a core mechanic of the game where as wretches are a poorly planned attack. Most mobs only have one resistance and almost all builds are dual element or have the ability to attack with more than one element or neutral so the two aren't really the same.

    Every build has their strengths and weakness, not everyone can be good at the same thing and fights. If they were, whats the point of different builds?

    The thing with The Eye is that if you can kill the wretches, you can probably solo the boss. If you can't you likely won't (tho there are already videos of people ignoring them outright).

    The point of different builds is to allow for different play styles. My entire point is that this mechanic does the exact opposite by not allowing certain play styles to function, at all. 90% of your health in one blow is too much to be work around and you can't consistently heal back from it. If it were something like 40 or 50% the point of good and bad would make sense, but as of now it is either works or doesn't.

    like ive said a hundred times, theres draw backs to everything. you can't make every build able to do content, thats bad game design. Get a group and get them to help you.

    You couldn't have summoned my opinion up any more.

    Did the dungeon together with a friend.
    First time, I died halfway through and he soloed the rest, second time he died halfway through and I soloed the rest. Found it to be very challenging and if some more bugs or glitches get fixed (eg. spells sometimes not properly casting when facing certain mobs etc.) it would be perfect. Never had such a high heartbeat rate in all of wynncraft. Honestly best Dungeon and Boss so far. (Except for the wretches)

    I think the best answer is make it CC vulnerable, and increase its health. Make it viable with burst and cc, then most classes have different answers to the wretches

    Apparently the nuke part is based on a timer rather than the wretch reaching the boss

    They have outright said that it is impossible with their current systems to make it so that reaching the boss causes it to explode.

    After playing it in a group, I can confirm the mechanic that makes it attack faster makes it way harder in groups if you aren't one of the unlucky classes. I'd rather do it alone than in a group of 3 or 4 lol.

    I haven't fought the boss yet but let me just say that regardless of how hard the boss is, it's always weird that the dungeon gives pretty much the same xp as corrupted undergrowth ruins.
    - CUG is level 94, EO is level 100
    - If people are going to level using dungeons, the vast majority will be doing dungeon parties so obtaining keys isn't really important which is the main thing that takes longer for CUG
    - I'm pretty sure EO takes longer than CUG
    Also EO rewards don't seem THAT good and I don't think they're worth fighting the hardest boss in the game for multiple times.
