Guide What To Do If Your Item Stats Keep Changing

Many items have received new IDs in this update (although this bug has been present since at least the Knucklebones change several months ago). You may notice that if you pick up and move around an item that has received a new ID, that ID seems to change each time. Worry not - this is only a visual glitch, and can be relatively easily fixed. The new ID actually only rolled once, when the update occurred, and you're just being shown random values for that ID. Simply sell the item on the trade market for some very large price (50,000,000 is what I use, since that's higher than just about any existing price) and then take it off the market. The glitch should go away, and you'll see whatever IDs the item actually rolled correctly.

 

It may also fix if one sets enough skill points to wear the item. It happened with my Slayer and after I put enough skill points to wear it, it stopped rerolling (to my disappointment it stopped at -36% 3rd spell cost ;-;)

 

Hey -36% is a decent roll - it's practically second to best (since you get -33% but you don't get -50%). At least you weren't under 34%.

The highest you can get is -58%. I rerolled it afterwards to -45%

 

This happened to me, and now my grillface is worse than before.

 

Your Grillface was never better, it was the same the whole time.

 

Really? It looked like it had more melee damage before I removed it from the bank. Strange.

Reread my original post. The final number was already determined, it just kept showing random numbers until you fixed the visual glitch.
