Video [wynncraft] Systematic Recreation - Bob's Reincarnation: Reckoning

I was so happy when we beat this boss for the SECOND TIME. The first time I forgot to hit the record button.

Yes, I know the particles are too much. Looking into toning them down more. But, for now, enjoy.

This is my first attempt at creating a Wynncraft Raid Boss! Last I heard, there weren't any "official" raid bosses before this. The only reason this one was rough around the edges was probably the particle count...

But nonetheless, the amount of effort it took to beat this boss with a group of 9 players with top-tier endgame gear was more than you can imagine. More than a dozen attempts went into this boss to even BEAT it, and several balance passes occurred. I won't lie, some of reasons why we couldn't beat it was because I died because I was recording it...

Notes:
- The "Shield of Mastery" is a pseudo-absorption effect on Bob. According to whatever the class the Shield says, only that class can deal full damage to the shield. Every other class deals 90% LESS damage to the shield (This percentage may change). Each Shield class has its own class health scaling (ex. Archer's shield scales 110k health for every archer, while Warrior's is around every 30k per Warrior), however for every non-class player, it adds 7.5k health to the shield.
- The amount of people present during the fight was 9, however it is still recommended to have 12 or so, maybe more, for the most optimal success chance. Be wary of the particle blindness though.
- Phase 5: All of the other previous phase Bobs spawn in as clones, but with less spells. However, the spells still have the same mechanics and deal the same amount of damage as before. Each Bob spawns with 25% of the max health of the main Bob.
- The scaling of Bob's health is a mix of linear and square rooting. There is a certain point where if enough people are present, the square root health scaling can no longer take effect, so on top of the square root scaling is a linear health boost. It is minimal, but still allows for some scaling.
- Yes, I know the Artifact/Legacy Items are busted. Kind of the point for how difficult the boss is... Plus I just wanted to see some OP rainbow weapons.
- I was playing Ninja.

The way you divided up the phases makes me feel more immersed in Bob's lore. Very cool (also that last phase was crazy).

 

dude this is absolutely amazing, once again I feel that something you made is absolutely needed. Bob here is an absolutely amazing character who matches his amazing story in game. I feel that artifact weapons are an absolutely great idea, showing you seriously have some skill to get them. The last phase as you said was absolutely amazing and I love it. While I don't see them changing the old boss fight into this one, I would absolutely love to see this bob possibly as a new quest in ToL, as it would also give us some closure on his story and make space for new ones. Honestly, the quest shouldn't even be level 100+, it should be level 60 too, as if you can do it with a group of 60s full power to you (just like ToA) but ofc artifact is lvl 100

 

This is god-like and deserves as much attention as possible. I'm shook how well done this is made however amount of particles in the fight might be a little problematic.
Still it is a solid 10/10 and I hope this gets recognition it deserves.

 

Fun fact: I actually had to add a "/particles" command which would allow players to adjust their client side particles by a percentage. I had mine at 60 (I think) but the majority of the rest had them lower :)
