Music Monument Of A New Land (llevigar Theme) Remake

Llevigar happens to be my favorite city in all of Wynncraft. I really like the all-quartz look, and the buildings are beautifully designed. It is undoubtedly deserving of what is in my opinion, one of the best city themes in the game. In this remake, I wanted to give it a more upbeat and march-like sound. If Llevigar ever had a parade, I imagine it would sound something like this :)

 

This this pretty nice, but please fix the chords a little:

*warning you are about to enter my opinion which includes some music theory. It may seem very nit-picky of me to criticize on this one measure of one instrument, but I think it is actually quite important to get this right*

Chords should be something like this, according to the score in game:
Cm - - - | Eb - - - | Cm - - - | Eb G Cm - |
*Intro chords are a little different
In the lower guitar you are playing something like:
C G C G C G C G | Eb Bb Eb Bb Eb Bb Eb Bb | C G C G C G C G | Eb Bb D Bb C G C G |
Notice how odd that last measure sounds (you can hear it at about 0:16), because those chords dont really work.
When playing D Bb on the second beat of the last measure, it makes it sound as if you are playing a Bb major chord instead of G (or you are playing a funky jazz chord like G7/#9). But because you have a G bass, it really just sounds odd. You could change that note to be a B natural, but there is are two reasons not to:
1) Because there is an Eb chord before the G one, and since Eb contains Bb and not B natural, It really would wreck it to put a B natural after that.
2) Also notice that this piece is written in C minor natural, and not C minor harmonic. The fact there there is a G chord there that is played without the third (third note in the chord) does not mean that the 3rd should be played according to the key signature, you just shouldn't play the 3rd because it doesn't work here.
I suggest That you change that fourth measure to this: Eb Bb D G C G C G .
Now this odd measure does repeat for the rest of the piece, but it only really stands out at 0:16, because the rest of the instruments are much louder there.

Im really sorry if this sounded overly criticizing, but I actually really like this pieces and it fits really nice with the other orchestra-ish remixes.

 

I definitely hear what you're talking about, and I'm always open to criticism so don't worry about being nit-picky. I went back and listened to the original again, and to me it sounds like it should be Eb Bb Eb Bb D G D G (Could be wrong, not the best at this as you already noticed.)
The Eb Bb D G C G C G part you suggested I change it to does show up later in the song at 0:25. Thanks for pointing out my mistake!

Em only issue with Eb Bb Eb Bb D G D G is that these notes assume that the chords are something like |Eb - G - | while in the melody its often played |Eb G Cm - |. Yeah, I see it in 12. Isn't it measure 8 we were talking about though? If that's the case, then according to the transcription Eb Bb Eb Bb D G D G is correct. Sorry if I'm not fully understanding what you're saying.
