As shown by this General Suggestion, there has been a great deal of demand when it comes to getting a port up for a TV Console Version of Wynncraft. That would be pretty epic, except that will simply never happen in the next decade or so as Bedrock and Java Edition are almost two completely separate games - Java Edition has better servers, and Bedrock has micro-transactions.

Good news is, we can do that ourselves!

That is not a TV, but you get the point. Wynncraft with a Controller.
    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Do note however, that this should work with many other console controllers as well, and is not just limited to an Xbox 360 controller, which is what I have been using as it is the only one I own.

What you WILL need (In addition to your computer):
    1. A Steam Account (With Steam Downloaded)
    2. A Controller that can be connected to your computer (Either Wireless or has a USB Cable)
    3. A Minecraft Account
    4. A Wi-fi Connection
    5. Ralsei Plush (Optional)

This technique uses keybindings on the controller to "stimulate" key and mouse presses, so you don't need to install forge or minecraft mods, hence it is still technically speaking Vanilla Minecraft!

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Step 1: Open up Steam on your Computer.
Go to Big Picture Mode, then go to Settings -> Controller -> Controller Settings
Connect your Controller to your PC, and then tick the box corresponding to the controller you are using.
    [IMG] [IMG]

Step 2: Keybinding to your Controller.
Exit Controller Settings, then go to Base Configurations -> Desktop Configurations

Essentially, we are allocating controls from the Keyboard and Mouse to the Controller by binding specific keys to it, such that we can use it for doing actions, like spell combos, etc! This is mainly up to you, or you can try out the controls that I used myself!
Left Analogue Stick: (Directional Pad - 8 Way Overlap) Movement and (Click Action) Sprinting.
Right Analogue Stick: (Joystick Mouse) Looking and (Click Action) Crouching.
    A: Jump
    B: Inventory
    X: Attack
Y: Move Stack (Shift + Right Click)
    L1 and R1: Scroll Hotbar
L2 and R2: Left Click and Right Click
    Back: List Players
    Start: Pause Menu
D-Pad: Hotkeys? (Maybe link them to Main Weapon, Quest Book and Compass), or other functions like F5.
    1) For Left Analogue Stick:
    Style of Input: Directional Pad
    Binding: 8-Way Overlap
    Click Action: LCtrl (Non-Toggle)

If you want to toggle Sprint (Which is the Minecraft's Console Way of controls), you may want to switch Minecraft's default sprint key to something like "G", and then you can bind the sprint key to that instead. This is because Ctrl / Cmd is usually use for many shortcuts, which may end up causing unwanted stuff to happen accidentally. (Ctrl + ESC is actually a Windows Start Shortcut on Windows, which exits fullscreen in Minecraft)

    Click Action:

    2) For Right Analogue Stick:
    Style of Input: Joystick Mouse
    Click Action: LShift (Toggle)

Be sure to lower Mouse Sensitivity as it can get very fast, and in additional settings include an inner "Deadzone" to ensure the mouse stops moving if you let go of the Analogue Stick. I typically set Click Action Crouch to "toggle" as you do have to hold Shift when you crouch, unlike Sprint which you just need to press LCtrl once and hold forward to maintain your sprint.

    3) The rest is fairly straight forward except for the Y / Triangle Button. For it, I set it to be a Multibutton of Left Shift + Right Click. Reasoning is such that there is a button to quickly move stacks and convert all Emeralds in inventory to EB, allowing for Loot Runs to be much more easily done!

    4) As you can see, I also removed the throw button in the control scheme, because I have heard of too many incidents in my lifetime that I am paranoid. :)

If you are looking to use Powder specials more easily, I suggest having Crouch button at B as well such that you can do a B + L2 / R2 Combo more easier. Unfortunately you cannot use multibutton to trigger powder effects, after small testing.

Now, if you close Big Picture (but keep Steam Running in the Background) and move your Right Analogue stick in your desktop, you should see your mouse moving along with it! This means you are successful with your keybindings.

Once you are done, be sure the export it and save it as personal binding so that you can use it in the future (It does automatically boot up every time you run Steam though, so you can disable it by going into Browse Configs).

Step 3: Open Minecraft and Log on to Wynncraft!
I am not held responsible for any death or loss of items that happens due to wacky control schemes (We already got rid of the drop button so that should hopefully help).

And now you can play Wynncraft "normally"! Of course, you still need a keyboard to type in commands, chat and search items, but normal gameplay should be perfectly fine. You can cast spells combos with L2 and R2, and melee hits can be done just by spamming "X" if needed, and even do loot runs. Obviously Keyboard and Mouse is faster, but Controller gives style points.

Step 4: (Optional) Get a TV Cable and play Wynncraft on your TV Screen, then lay on the couch.

Your computer is now a mini game console! Congratulations.

If that guide was still too confusing, here's a video that I used to teach myself this. Yes, this guide is made thanks to this guide, so credit goes to this video! If you do understand, I still recommend this video as it makes things much clearer.

Do note the fact that I did not add Minecraft as a non-Steam Game to my Steam Library, as it seem to only work in the Launcher, but when I click into the actual game, the controller stops working again, as though Steam is treating the Minecraft Launcher and Minecraft as separate games. I would be open for suggestions on how to fix that, but for now using the Desktop configuration works even with Minecraft in Full Screen.

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    Q&A:
    1. Instructions unclear, hand stuck in controller!
If the guide did not work, I recommend checking out this video on how to play Java Edition with a controller using this exact method, as I might have left some crucial step out. Unfortunately I am not the most tech-savvy player, so I am not 100% sure about giving Tech Support Advice, especially without being there to troubleshoot myself. I will do my best to help out somehow though!

    2. Why did you choose to release this guide in the midst of...
Here's a conspiracy theory for you - IF you release a guide in the midst of an update hype train, you get more views and likes!
I guess I just played too much Hollow Knight and Celeste, which can be played with a controller (which I enjoyed a lot), and I decided that I want to try out Minecraft, especially Wynncraft with the controller, and then realize it was sort of complicated but not really, so I made a guide about it!

    3. In the video guide you linked, it shows an initial step of linking the Launcher as a Non-Steam Game first. Why didn't you do it?
Mainly, because it didn't work for myself. Unfortunately, I cannot say that it won't work for you, as the sample size of computers I have tested is one (In fact, my computer is so old it is Windows 8). I recommend trying it out as well, since it doesn't take too long, but mainly the issue seems to be that Steam recognizes the Minecraft Launcher as a game, but not the actual Minecraft game itself, so the controls are disabled when you click off the Minecraft Launcher. Also, the Minecraft Launcher has gone through a couple of updates, so I am not surprised if the video has stopped working for that reason as they were using an older launcher.

    4. Have you attempted LI with these controls?
Yes. It was the first thing I thought of doing.

And I died at Cybel. :(

    5. Wait, what is the Ralsei plush for?
I mean, he is pretty nice, isn't he? Good for hugs when you get wrecked by Cybel, and very nice in a photo to display my messy desk!

    6. As a Bedrock player, I am offended.
I am deeply sorry and I apologize in advance. :(

Or, just take the easy route, and use a hdmi cable and MCJoyPad mod. Saves a bunch of time and avoids unnecessary complications.

It would suck, but what if you made arrows movement and nunchuck camera?

This would be most beneficial if you play mage or warrior as you could charge/teleport without issue, but for assassin or archer it would truly be a pain

    I tried it
    It does suck
Also my nunchuck has just enough drift so it only drifts when it is hooked up to my computer, and doesn't effect the Wii games.
