    I'm glad to see the votes balance up. It was 16 to 39 before I posted further testing..

    I'm hoping more people will notice this and express their opinions so they can revert these changes

    Basically yeah. This might be a hot take, but the new system is actually an improvement except for the fact that it's being implemented in a really dumb way. I don't even have a problem with the only one tool rule (assuming it only counts for the same tool type, if I can't have a rod and a pick that's some bullshit) but the durability needs to be doubled, especially at higher levels and the efficiency needs to commit Sudoku.

    I honestly hope they just fix the new system. If you get rid of the efficiency decreases with use and increase the durability the system is much better than what we have now. This change feels a lot like comparing a 60 student to a potentially 90 student if they weren't doing heroin. It has so much potential to be good, but it just wastes itself away with dumb problems that can easily be fixed :(

    Not gonna lie I wish I could ping Salted to see this, if he hasn’t already.

    All we need is more durability and no tool decay speed crap.

    It’s only a few lines of code or whatever they need to change!

    I love the new system. Simpler, easier in concept. Just triple or double dura and decrease rep p cost.

    Can anyone tell me how much dura per tier there is? As I obviously can’t.

    Tier 10 tools have 140 durability, tier 11 tools have 150. Even if the speed stays the same, you're still going to need to run back to repair your tools every three minutes. Unless durability doesn't go down by 1 every resource gathered anymore, gathering is still much worse than before. I think t11 tools really need to be at least 350-400 dura to even excuse gathering now costing emeralds.

    Since T11 tools have 150 durability and durability goes down by 1 every 2 nodes, that means it takes 300 nodes to fully deplete it. In most farming locations, there are around 11 nodes, so that takes about 27 minutes to fully deplete the tool. That seems reasonable although higher durability would be nice.

    Now for those that only want xp, I wonder if at 0 durability, you can still gather and obtain xp or not.

    Yes, you can. At 0 durability you can still gather at the same speed and gain experience. You just won't receive any materials from gathering anymore.

    Then for those grinders out there that just want xp, this dura change will not affect them, which is good.

    @Salted thanks for taking action on this. I will update this thread later since I didn’t really have time but can I ask if since 0 dura = 0% chance like 70 dura = 50% chance or so? (Since I think t11s have 150/140 dura)

    I doubt it, this seems really dumb and useless if so, because you have to repair your tool after like every 3 hits for Max refine chance

    This is not totally related to this thread but I think prof players(or really anyone) should see this Incase they didn’t know yet.
