Potential 1.19 Release Dates

Personally, I think it will be released on 1/1/09. As in, January 1, 2109.

The shaman and new items system is cool and all. But I'm more excited for shots to do corrupted undergrowth ruins 100 times.

If it is Jan 19, that'd be great, because it'd make a lot of people quite happy around the time of Blue Monday, hopefully cancelling out some of the effects of it, hahaha. (Although I suppose Blue Monday in itself is a theory.)

Based on how 1.18's release went, I don't think there's any chance it comes out between mid December and mid January. Calling it now, it's either coming out before December 15th or after January 16th. It all depends on how well the beta goes, but if it's a train-wreck like last time and they're fixing stuff into the holidays, I can see a 1.18 happening all over again where the beta doesn't get updated for weeks because nobody is around to do fixes (which isn't a problem, the devs work too hard already).

That being said, 1.19 is probably a lighter update compared to 1.18, so I think the only thing that will need a lot of tweaking is the Shaman class and maybe some small quest/dungeon fixes as always. Because of that, I think it'll go live before the holidays (Hopefully Dec. 13th) unless something goes really, really wrong.

According to the changelog, if everything goes well it will be released later this month.

 

The devs have always been optimistic about public release dates. If you look to 1.18 they posted the changes very early in December and said they the exact same thing. The update ended up in beta for over two months and even then launched in a somewhat broken state. I'm not saying it isn't possible, I want the update as soon as possible too, but I am saying that I'm not as optimistic as they tend to be.
