I might make a thread with Colossal Rat related stuff (that happened inside CT discord) once the update drops

Another thing to put here:

We know the announcement was Dern, but they still didn't reveal what this thing was! How long will we have to wait?

 

Do not speak the name of Raxodia the Forbidden One or else I'll have to unleash all 5 of the Yu-Gi-Oh cards that make up its form on you.

I'm excited for the order of the grook quest. It feels like a successor to lord of the clock so hype time

 

I'm really glad they also gave us another class slot, looking out for us nons.

Some new ids (on Rusted Root, show in the trailer only: Uproot cost (which is a Shaman spell) and Aura cost (also a Shaman spell) seem like spell costs, possibly being a fix/change to intelligence, which is going to be very, very interesting from a class build perspective.
The Plague Major id looks a bit underpowered (since 3/4 classes already have aoe poison, but we'll see)
Other new ids: Haul will probably affect unrefined material weight, but I'm not sure if it's on the base weight (lv. 100 materials would go from 6 to 5) or just general wight (multiplier?), since a newly revealed ring, Renda Langit, will have -1 Haul Cost as well; -2 Haul Cost affecting BASE weight at level 60 seems a bit broken.
This ring, by the way, has two very interesting things about it:

New quest name.

This could, no joke, really improve the current economy and balance (but also worsen it, so I do hope they're handled well) (I trust the Item Team does that of course)
Next, new area:

Looks fairly compact for a new area, but from the looks of it also very eventful.

(This structure reminds me of Tower of Ascension, so who knows)

And then there's the Shaman class. All I can say is that @Pokerpo is a mad genius, and that it looks very interesting. (Might go into that later)

[Edit: I can't believe I forgot about the ingredient pouch, Collosal Rat and the new dungeons.
The pouch has been something I've honestly been expecting for a long time, the 1.18 texture pack had unused textures for a filled and empty pouch:

From the looks of it, maybe even different tiers of pouch. Will certainly make HIC more doable.
New dungeons: We don't rally know a lot about the Eldritch Outlook aside from the entrance (which is looking like some real cursed stuff), but I assume then when it says Undergrowth Ruins got some reworks, it better have.
New level cap: Not a fan, even if the xp actually carries over this time it's still a very tiny (seemingly even unnecesary) jump. I guess it's reasonable to give Dernic materials some actual use, though.
Collossal Rat: we are all dead]
[Edit 3: Haul is actually a Shaman spell, so that -1 Haul is probably a raw spell cost decrease. I can already smell @TurboStratus using Rusted Root (-2 Haul) with double Renda Langit (another -2 Haul) to create the ultimate flying class. Even if Haul looks like it's right inbetween Charge and Vanish distance.]

it appears they are not changing combat or the dungeon philosophy. this update was a failure and I am now going to boycott wynncraft.

 

Great. I got the glitch where you can't post pictures anymore. Anyways theres a part in the video where a giant bone-like structure pops out of the ground with wynnic symbols on it spelling "FREE". Eerie, right?

There are also new mobs, namely:
- Lonely Griever from the teaser made an appearance. The name makes it seem like it has a horrid backstory so I wonder what it will have to do with lore. It's level 104.
- Omnispective Wanderer, level 105. Some golem thing with eyes floating around it.
- Toxxulous Ripper, level 105. Probably a mob living in the green slimy area of Silent Expanse. He also reminds me of those Carnagator guys in the Jungle
- Face of Fear, a level 108 rare mob. It kinda looks like a large face except without the face except only with the eyes and a weird beak and some blood vessels connecting the three facial features. I want to note the prominence of mobs with large, lidless eyes.
- Spewer, level 107. Weird mob that looks like it has a little santa hat on. I kinda like it, especially due to its distinct lack of eyes.

Then there's also this huge cave system that I see nobody talking about. It's at the part between where we see all the mobs and the rest of the update. It's probably the entrance to Silent Expanse and it makes sense since the part of SE that sits right next to the Abandoned Mines seems empty from the outside (so it might be just caves).

Furthermore we must notice that the clip showing the player attracting items with Gravity, they're level 120. Probably just a dev feature since we've already been told 106 is the new max but I wonder why they showed us that. Surely it isn't just some oversight?

And what about the jump height of the guy fighting Colossal Rat!? Take a look at that clip once more and see how high this guy is jumping. What a monkey.

Also, what if those two guys crushed by that evil Dern thing were Aledar and Tasim? That would be a big sad moment.

Quick impression of Shaman: it seems like this guy can just plop down totems and shoot triple bolts. Pretty radical. Also it can throw the totems and use them as a movement spell it seems and yes it has awesome particle effects what a chad class imo. Now something that might be really cool with this class is that the totem is actually what the spells revolve around. Not sure at all if this is how it works. But what if the main purpose of shaman is to put down this totem and have like 3/4 spells dedicated to doing stuff to the totem? e.g. throwing it and giving it aoe damage upon landing or making it give buffs or something. It is going to be skill based and shaman seems pretty combo heavy like this so I'm honestly hyped for the class.

The dungeon looks really well made from the outside, even though the style is kinda funky the quality is top notch. All in all great trailer and I can't wait for the release.

Or do you mean the text? Because we can already read that, it says "Coming soon"

You can hear a church bell ringing whenever it happens.

 

I think the new cap is somewhere around 120, as there was a character with the level 120 in the trailer.
