It's true you can spam Heal, but the point is, it's not a massive benefit over melee mage because of the pulsing - you're generally getting, say, 60% net base Heal per cycle versus about 30% for melee mage, even though you've cast three times as many Heals.

Hey y'all! I've been told some people were a little worried about recent IMs changes. I didn't originally thought much of it because it was mostly some internal management stuff that didn't concern most players, but IMs were always a bit more transparent about changes so I can now see why it felt out of place. Let me explain a little bit more.

As some has noticed, a lot of IMs aren't part of the CT anymore, and it caused worries for some of you who care a lot about items. What happened is a big restructure of how the IM team worked. I never usually share internal management things but for those who care about items, here's why we did this change:

    1. IMs did their work mostly independently from the rest of the CT, which created a increasingly large disconnect from the rest of the team. Downsizing the team made it easier to integrate them into the rest of the CT so they are closer and more in-sync.

    2. One of my personal beliefs is that creative jobs work better with smaller teams and less rigid structures (of course it differs depending on what kind of job it is). It might lead to more room for errors, but also more room for personal creativity as well. You need to balance these two for long-term success.

    3. And because of that, it also brings the issue of flexibility. More structure means less flexibility and adaptivity to change. Wynn doesn't have the resources like other big companies have to make bigger scale teams easily manageable. If we wanted to bring something new and radical to items (like the major IDs) in the old system, it would have taken much more efforts and time.

    4. The way IMs were structured and managed had some inefficiencies (it used to use a more democratic-like system). While this brought less mistakes, it also slowed work a lot and could lead to "too many cook in the kitchen" issues.

So, in short, the main goals of this change were:
    1. Bring IMs closer to the rest of CT
    2. Increase personal creativity and efficiency by scaling down the team
    3. Change the way IMs worked to be less reliant on this democracy-like structure and more free in their own decisions

After having done this change, we decided to scale down the short-term workload a bit. We needed to prepare for the eventual 1.19 update and we knew pushing a big change such as the element revamp would take a lot of work, even after it came out. In the end, even if both events were done in a similar timeframe, the restructure of the IMs wasn't related at all to the elemental revamp and the community's reaction to it. We still think the elemental revamp is a very good improvement to items, we just couldn't justify the added workload for the short-term (especially knowing we had to change things a bit because of backlash). We still plan to eventually do the elemental revamp (likely after 1.19), but with some changes to prevent dramatically breaking everyone's build. More news about that will come out when we think we got something good to share.

It was a hard decision and if we could, we would have kept everyone. It was a change that was kinda long-time coming and we had to rip the band-aid off at one point. No IMs were removed because they didn't do a good job, every single IM was some of the most hard-working and passionate people in the team and they deserve an insane amount of respect and appreciation for all they've done.

Really I am kind of glad they are closer to the CMs. Also the removal of that voting system is interesting. I still can’t believe that small group of players, who were so excited to have a meeting with the owner of wynncraft to talk about balancing some items. Managed to grow and evolve into all of what it has become today. It really was a fun and crazy ride. It nice to see it is still growing. Thanks to all the IM’s and CT for putting in all the time and thought to make this game better. @Pretzule & @Selvut283 especially, for being the force that lead to the founding of the IM's.

I don't think anyone believed for a split second that you were actually going to fully let go of the Elemental Revamp, it's such a paradigm-shifting vision. A vision, in which your entire team was so confident that they released what was originally intended as a hype post for it and didn't even consider any possible community backlash until it happened.
...Hey, I got a question for you. Why don't you just release the Endgame Overhaul right now? I would think, as you are the owner of a successful online service, one of the first things you'd know is that you will never please everyone. You will not find a way to ease us all into this paradigm shift, and you definitely will not please me when you ultimately phase my favorite playstyle out of your game. I think I've already made it clear what that is, and even though it was just barely viable with the beta changelog, I know it will eventually be destroyed entirely.
You know what, I'm being rude. You're trying to be honest here. Maybe I should open up too. Since I bore witness to the beta changelog of the Endgame Overhaul, I've felt like your Administration doesn't have my best interests at heart.
Actually, now that I think about it, I feel like the Endgame Overhaul is the least of my problems. In this past year, your game has always had at least one serious problem that stays a problem for months at a time. The quest-breaking unoptimization of the 1.18 Economy Update. The shutdown of the Trade Market, and the subsequent failure of Guild wars. The player API's inability to recognize players who changed their username. The constant server ping spikes and increased Guild war invalidation rates that happened back in August.
The one good thing I've taken from all these problems is that your team has been making an effort to fix them. Do you really want to please everyone? Because I lied, there actually is a way. It just doesn't have anything to do with the Elemental Revamp. Take a smarter approach to fixing the problems with your game. Not this imagined flaw with how people make endgame builds, but the actual malfunctions of your game. I'm not going to tell you how to achieve this because I'm not qualified to do so, but I would bet real money that there are people in this community with some good ideas regarding how you can not release Wynncraft 1.19 with a thousand endgame-breaking bugs.

Like I said earlier, the Endgame Overhaul has shown me that I won't agree with the ultimate direction of your game. But I'd still like to see you make a good game for the people who will still support you.

Wasn’t the goal to increase build diversity outside of “melee tank spell spam single elemental rainbow elemental” or whatnot?
the major IDs appear to do that pretty well.

Major IDs tend to be fairly exclusive and locking certain playstyles to only items with those Major IDs isn't a very practical way to go about it. They're effective for those that have it but it won't singlehandedly hold things up.

    WAIT WHAT
I thought this was a little item tweaking, and didn't read it, now I see I have been deeply mistaken

Also for magnet shouldn't it be pull all items, or pull every item, not pull every items?

Some of the changes, like the addition of more master hive and some others, will still be coming. The massive overhaul is being replaced by major IDs, which is also a massive overhaul itself.

There is probably a revamp coming in a future update, with significant changes. The Master Hive armors are plenty of proof of that.
