Build Medieval Tavern | Structures Practice

Structure practice! Had some spare time today so I decided to practice my structures. 1 structure, 1 scene, 1 hour. This is the finial result. Keep in mind that this was extremely rushed so the quality might not be as good as usual, but as always critique is welcome.

Well in general it is a brilliant build and amazing for the short amount of time you did it in, but there are a few things you might be able to improve on, but before i start i would just like to say i am NOT a professional critic so bear with me and reply if i'm being slightly unfair, and apologies in advance.

Firstly, i think that the rocky outcrop on the right hand side looks slightly under-worked, as there are many [spheres] which ruin the general appearance of the rocks. I understand the effect you tried to go for, but roughening it up could go for a improvement. Again, i acknowledge the fact that you didn't have much time, but these are notes for reference in future
Secondly i think the path could easily be improved simply by adding some coarse dirt and stone buttons (pebbles)

Overall great build though, keep up the great work!

 

Thanks, for the comment and I totally agree with you. That scene I created was really rushed so it's definitively not my best work.

Did you build it all by hand or is the terrain partially world edited? It does have the roundish shape but it also looks like it'd have been atleast partially hand done, due to the slightly random nature of it.

 

I have some rocks that I've made myself.
I just use a paste brush to put them all over the place.
