I Can't Beat Redbeard

I don't know if I'm underequipped or what, but even as a lvl 92, I still have yet to defeat Redbeard, the Galleon Graveyard boss. Forcing me to stand on a pressure plate makes me take unavoidable damage and the cannon balls, for whatever reason, don't even damage him all that much. Help!

 

There's a bug where the player can damage the cannonballs. The unavoidable damage is very annoying though, especially as warrior (who can't blind opponents).

That said, at level 92 if you're something other than mage you could probably just beat Redbeard through direct damage, although it may take some time.

 

I usually try to press shift when on pressure plates (it makes you take much less knockback).
I also try to knock redbeard back a little then run to the pressure plate furthest from him.
The fight is really easy as warrior, because of the insane amount of knockback you deal. One uppercut and you got your self like 5 seconds for the plate.

 

Would you mind sharing your build, so we know if you're underequipped or not?

 

The easiest (albeit, somewhat cheesy) way to beating Redbeard is by killing all the minions in the room as soon as you enter, push Redbeard away from you with spells (if you have a blind, use it as well), quickly move as far away as possible to avoid gaining aggro, and proceed to spawn the closest cannonball to him without triggering his aggro again (could be a problem if he has remained fairly in the center, however). This not only prevents Redbeard from using his burst fire, but also prevents the cannonballs from suicide striking. The only wrench in the works is he can still be pushed around by the cannonballs and he can still use his spells (charge and pull), so reposition yourself if needed to avoid gaining aggro at all costs.

This method is incredibly easy as an Assassin, since you don't even need to do the first three steps if you just vanish immediately upon entering the room, run over and trigger two cannonballs (only go for three if a cannonball has already managed to push Redbeard an area far away from you), and then run as far away as possible from Redbeard before becoming visible to let your mana recharge to vanish again when needed. Either way, you can sit back and watch your cannonball(s) sit on top of Redbeard, and the fight will be over in a couple of minutes at most.

Getting out of his aggro range can be quite annoying at times though, so what I like to do in those situations is aim solely for the cannon farthest away from him or a cannon that has obstructed his own shots to avoid as much damage as possible (although he'll sometimes pull a ohko pull into burst anyway). As said above, you can damage your own cannonballs, so using spells near them should be something to try and avoid (even if his minions have started to respawn, as your cannons will probably kill them anyway before focusing on Redbeard).

Also, I made a typo and only now realized, I'm actually lvl 72, not 92, I'm an archer, my main weapon is a tier 5 water power maelstrom, with the "finding the light" quest helmet (forgot the name), Millenium, Dalaam, Stalagmites, Morph Ruby, Morph Amethyst, Morph Gold and Jest Ring.

finally beat him. And yes, I did notice that I was actually damaging the cannonballs (happened after this post tho), so that explains a lot. I'm actually lvl 72, the 92 thing was a typo and I have a bad habit of using bomb arrow (im an archer), so that's probably why my cannonballs don't reach, thanks for the tips tho.

It seems that you are using morph jewelry. Are you aware that you get the 4 morph set bonus if you use two morph topazes. (It only says you get the 3 morph bonus but u get the effects of 4). Just a tip.
