    So I talked to Asher and got him the shovel and then old man martyn led me into the house but then I just started falling into the void so I used a teleport scroll and went back but I can't talk to Asher any more and old man Martyn isn't in the house what am I supposed to do?

    I would probably give Asher back his shovel again as if you haven't done it before as when you fell into the void the next part of the quest didn't start. If that doesn't work, keep retracing your steps till you fond something that you can interact with and go from there.

    Go back to the shovel, it will teleport you back into the quest area.
