Problem With The Realm Of Light Quest

    I killed the boss and got the seeds of darkness, but when I go back to the npc Heliorion he just keeps saying that I he has already told me what to do in the quest book.. basically I am stuck since I already beat the boss (I reran it 3 more times and to no avail) but I can't talk to the npc to move on :/

    I tried server relogging, completely restarting the game, even tried a different version (switched from 1.14 to 1.12).

    Any ideas?

    Go to the room with that boss and talk to the "NPC" at the exit of the boss room.

    the npc says "you may exit now" right, because I did right click on him.
