Is Crafting The Key To The Best Weapon?

I've played with a craftsman character for a bit but not long enough to be classified as skilled at it, and I've been thinking about the pros and cons of crafting and not crafting. Since crafted weapons are literally fully customization, and normal weapons are pre-made it's got me wondering. Is it possible to craft a weapon that, all stats included, is better than the best non-crafted weapon?

 

No, because of stuff like Warp. For combat though, crafted weapons can be extremely powerful.

 

It likely possible to make something on par with the top tier as far as Damage and stat increases are concerned it is just that the durability of said item will be like 1

 

In my opinion I dislike using crafting weapons, and haven't taken much time to craft weapons. I tend to either purchase weapons, or find them. There are two sides to this, and I'd make sure to look into both.
