Community Event Dern Info

So currently we know that dern (or RTD, whatever) is just around the corner™. However, we are not sure about what all it is. I was thinking, why isn't there a big stockpile of info/references that we have on hand to make new theories, so I propose this: a Dern theory page. I don't have a lot of the info myself, but am confident the community will provide info in the comments and I will add it to the page. Then, once the info is gathered people can post their theories in the comments, instead of making tons of posts that clog up feed everytime there is a new teaser.

Dern Information​

Location: West of Nesaak, South of Rymek.
Possible entrances: passages in the mountains near Rymek, abandoned mines (already a weird crystal in there, but you cannot move further anywhere, or else 'an invisible force pushes you back')

Btw, I'm using optifine, so it changes the light drastically.

Color scheme: Blacks and purples, greyish-skinned creatures (Bob had it?)
Antagonist: darkness itself?
Architecture/style: evil, ancient (like nemract?)
Mobs: cultists?, evil demons? (Credit: @Lord Vader) endermen (credit to @3XTWISTEDTITAN)
Current lore: fantastic voyage puts you out at abandoned mines, after going through the strange land. Dern minions can be found on certain islands, proving that this isn't the first time it has been uncovered, though, perhaps it is to the human race(credit to @Derpy_Watermelon)
Secret letters from bob to nilrem talk about strange creatures from a "far off" land. (credit to @Miles_ )

Road to Dern is a place that is NOT Dern.

 

I'm sorry, I just wasn't sure wether or not the community called it RTD, as I have seen a few people call it that, only to be corrected. Ty for reading though!

Road to Dern seems like a ”prelude” to dern, not Dern Major.

You know what I’ll star calling it Dern Minor

 

I think some of the mobs in the area would be creatures of darkness, demonic creatures, moving skulls, cultists, demons, etc

 

According to lore found else where, it was an emerald mine operation before it was sealed off.

So probably a lot of relic involving emerald operations in the road to dern.

Pretty sure the entrance to road to Dern is west of the Abandoned Mines, at the door that's partially covered by rubble.

 

Whats behind that door tho? is it like straight up dern like or is it like the abandon mines

Something to note, the road to dern refers to the province, dern its self refers to the realm.

 

We don't know that. Dern could be a realm or a province or even both. Road to Dern could theoretically take part in a realm.

 

Salted- Road to dern is NOT dern, its very similar.

This is not an exact quote, but it was stated in the live stream.
So uh, yeah we do mostly know this.

It is NOT Dern. This doesn't mean that much.
Since Dern could have an overworld part, too.
