Serious Rip Etika

As some of you may know, Etika, a youtuber famous for his upbeat personality and outbursts of either joy or rage (such as his reaction to the smash ultimate reveal))
recently committed suicide. Prior to his suicide, Etika posted a video, now taken down, that apologized to many people and showed many suicidal thoughts. Etika later went missing, causing many people, myself included, to be even further concerned for his safety. Yesterday, his body was found dead in the NYC river.

Please, if you ever have suicidal thoughts, talk to somebody so they can provide their love and support for you, no matter how afraid you may be to do so. If someone you care for may seem to have these thoughts, show you care for them until the very end.

The last thing I want on this thread is for people to debate over Etika. I want this thread to be paying our respects to Etika and raising awareness about suicide.

RIP Etika, you have made the lives of many people better than they ever were before. You will be missed.

As a person who has grappled with depression and suicidal thoughts in the past (and present), I cannot urge you enough to seek help and try and reach out. You will not be seen as weak if you do, I promise. Talk to people you trust and seek professional help if you’re unable to cope. Even if you don’t want to talk to others about it, interacting with people in meaningful ways-any way, honestly-helps a lot. People want to help you and people do care about you, I promise.
