Tbh yeah I have to agree, helping out new players is pretty great, like a few days ago I ran IB like 10 times with a lvl40-50 party (I'm 100/Ar.) It's really fun to help others and really makes the game interesting for me again. So yeah, guilds aren't necessarily only end game stuff. and definitely do not get involved in guild politics unless you really want to, it's just not recommended and is annoying.

Not everyone can afford to host CIB's, they come on a blue moon, making it to where if there werent things like guilds, people would just be waiting around in hopes to run CIB over and over which can become repetitive. Guilds involve growing and creating communities and teams to challenge the other guilds on the map in becoming the best out there. Of course though there also comes drama from these things, but its best to just remember that its the internet, never take people that become salty towards something get to you if thats the case. Guilds are basically the only end game option for most people in order to keep continued interest in the game, since professions isn't the most popular, again LI can become repetitive as well.

I was wondering how level 40-50 could run CIB. That explains it (lol).

I'm not too upset about certain guilds making their own requirements to join, its not difficult nor time consuming to level to 50 and/or 70, what i do feel is a problem is trying to wrestle control of their territories, there's no way to take over the 20+ territories big guilds have.
I'd like to see every territory get unclaimed every patch (at the least) or every 3-4 weeks (at the most), wipe the slate and give all smaller guilds a chance to break the monopoly the big guilds hold.
