I Started Playing Three Days Ago. Here Is Some Of The Incredibly Stupid Things I Have Done.

1. Didn't know how (or that you could) to sell items. Tossed all of them on the floor when my bank tabs got filled.
2. Could not find the item identifier a few hundred blocks past Ragni despite the sign. Kept running past the building because there was a crap ton of zombies there. Found it at level 10.
3. Died 11 times to swarms of spiders in Nivla Woods. I kept trying to run right through.
4. Didn't realize there was quests until level 20. Was just straight terrified grinding mobs.
5. Rage quit the sewers of Ragni because me and parkour do not get along (I have nerve damage in my right hand and it twitches constantly). Then kept trying over and over again because I don't give up. I kept using /kill to escape. Didn't realize what soul points were until I lost all of my gear.
6. Still have not figured out what powders do.
7. Spent hours leveling up farming to lvl 25 on wheat alone. Then did it again with fishing.
8. Spent forever lost in Nivla woods trying to get to Nemract.
9. Got the mushroom man mushrooms from mooshroom cows. Took two trips.
10. Decided he didn't really need a bowl after that.
11. Found Nemract. Took a boat to Rooster Island. Didn't bring any emeralds with me to buy the ticket back.
12. Wore the same legendary hat (Heliophilia) until level 25
13. Cried when I sold my bow just to realize how slow Crackshot is. I'm now REALLY good at kiteing.
14. Some one took pity on me and gave me Glacial Crest. Didn't realize it slowly kills you. Died.
15. Did not leave the Ragni/ Nivla forest area until lvl 20 (Those fricken spiders are scary).
16. Did not use a single spell (besides the intro part) until lvl 26. Some one asked me what lvl I was and then asked for speed.... I had to ask how. I didn't realize you could use them all the time.
17. Figured out that chat is only local.

Now I'm lvl 31. Every thing kills me still, I'm grinding lvl 18 mobs. I'll probably make more lists as time goes on haha,

Edit: At level 32 I finally defeated the Ragini sewers parkour.

 

Before you rage and post one of those "I LOST MY XXXX" do /itemlock to lock your item so you can't drop them accidentally.

 

I will totally do that now!

 

Sounds like a lot of fun tbh, and not that dissimilar from my first few days weeks. Theres a lot of people who are willing to help out/give advice ingame if you do get stuck or confused (like with powders for example)

 

Love this list! a lot of similar things happened to me too when I joined the server.
On the topic of professions, I would recommend to avoid them on your first playthrough, because they really slow your playthrough by a lot. If you finished your first playthrough try 1) Create a new character and play with only professions or 2) Use a high leveled character to level up professions faster.

Killing mobs lv. 18 when your level 31 is not the best idea... I'll recommend doing every quest on your first playthrough, and if you get stuck in a level without any more quests then there are specific places called "Grind spot" (The ones with blaze powder on the map) they are strong mobs that give you a lot more XP than normal mobs, they have a yellow star and can't drop items. Try to kill mobs that are near your level to level up.

Even if you feel like these things that you're doing are stupid now, I can guarantee you'll be looking back at the old days fondly when you're level 100.

Haha thanks guys. I'm also sure I missed a few but I figured some Wynncraft vets would get a kick out of this. I already love the game and I'm having a blast despite my horribleness at it haha.

 

they can't drop ingredients or misc items

they still drop emeralds and potions since they're also grindy items

Yeah I know, I just said that in general since they are supposed to not drop anything at all.

From a CT member: "It kind of is, it's just that the potion and powder loot table is separated from the loot tables we control. When making grind mobs, we didn't have the option to turn off these drops. Maybe we will in the future, but right now we can't control powders and potions.
However, we have a "lootMultiplier" multiplier, which should be set to 0 for all grind mobs. This controls the gear they drop. The point is that they don't drop anything, but apparently some break that rule and have some ingredients tied to them though." [1]

Idk if I'm being a bit of a bump kill or something. I never had this experience.
The closest I got was taking my time to level up, 30 - 40 was very slow to me.

Also I just looked at your stats. Jesus.
You have 33 hours into the game, thats 1 day and 9 hours. Which isn't that big of a deal, expect you did it in under 3 days, which means this is basically all you've done.

 

I totally agree I played WoW for MANY years and I get old school vanilla flash backs all the time while playing this. I'm really enjoying the game so far.

I'm glad you are perfect and never made any silly mistakes. I feel like the mistakes and learning are half the fun for me though, so I'm sorry you missed out on that.

Also I am a 100% disabled military veteran who just graduated from college. I have nothing but time to sit at home and mess around on my computer. I do, however, start my masters degree program in August so this is only for a short while. Thanks for the concern!

It came off pretty judgmental. Also don't be sorry, I protected my county and I'm proud of my accomplishments.

 

Trust me, I have no room to jugde. I have the 4th highest play time in the whole game at just over 4000 hours.
3rd place is ultimate, 2nd is putrid, and 1st us nyam still, somehow.

 

At least you didn't type in chat in middle of nowhere and expecting a reply.
