Would like to know more about what traits / playstyle / improvements you guys want for the combos btw

 

Better offense for Earth/Thunder would be really nice. I recall the health buff was going to disproportionately affect tankier items anyway, so that deals with my other big issue where tanky items aren't really that tanky.

 

Better ele def for fire/air. They shouldn't get much damage, but it makes sense from a pure tank perspective to have lots of damage mitigation, but air and fire weaknesses are really bad. Some items that don't feature their weaknesses as defenses or work similar to anti-static would be nice. Also, buff capricorn.

 

the only reason imo fire/thunder or fire/water is ever weaker than water/air or thunder/air is because agil

Honestly, if Defense and health regen got fixed the majority of the tank problems would disappear.

Of course then we would have problems like afk cactus farming with health regen :P.

Wow Genoxyde gets quite a lot of damage for Fire/Air.

 

These I find under-represented:

Earth/Air:
Dondasch
-Love this - but it really does not go well with much to create a nice build revolving with it.
Dune Storm
-Glassy. Its good, but useless in more stable builds.
Silkweb Mail/Horizon/Battleground Dancer
-Great items, but also melee. Nothing for spell at all - which is less thematic however. I also sometimes see, especially horizon and battleground, tacked on to solo-earth for tierstacking for their agility when it really is not an air-earth build.
Petrichor
-water and spell damage? mostly looks weird and a worse dondasch with a tiny bit of spell damage. Will never be used for water, and with only a little skill points for earth and air I cannot really consider it this combo considering dondasch exists.

Overall, I think dune storm and dondasch also do not promote the use of a solo air/earth combo - the skill points I think let people use other items instead. I find physalis with dex can easily replace horizon and skills will not be a problem, when dex is not a part of the build, and many other alternatives. Otherwise, there are not many really good items anyway besides those few, and none directed towards a spell type. Other element combos with just tacked on agility are just more desirable. (if E/A is supposed to have a solely melee theme, it seems a little hidden with the differences between the items such as + and - tiers and elemental damages while some are more towards defense and ls while others are glassy).
Maybe for playstyle, some kind of melee useage or encorporate a more hybrid-like playstyle (I would like hybrids for this combo, (maybe some ms?))
-Lack in good duo-elemental weapons
Also, although not really possible - no access to hive armors.

Thunder/Fire
Black
-Very great weapon
Cinderchain
-Nice leggings

Otherwise.. do not notice anything that useful besides some really cool black builds and cinderchain. Other than assassin, I do not think I have ever seen it used. Good items like anima are not used between thunder/fire often (solo fire or thunder/water) or medeis (with literally water/thunder cata builds).

Trio element combos:
-To be honest, the abundance of air/thunder/water is insanely high (and due-element of each used in here easily also). Otherwise I do not notice other defining trio-element combos.
-The duel-element combos in these areas also seem better than the ladder and used much more often in general. Earth/Water, Earth/Thunder, and Earth/Fire also seem good with their representation. Water/thunder also seems rarer, but their representation in these trio-element combos are very good.

as stated above, fire/thunder may lack items focusing solely on fire/thunder, but it's overall (in practicality) a fantastic combo imo

 

Great point here and I think this is very cool - however I still feel like its better using something more polar. I only changed the chestplate - your right, the earth and air defs sucked, but adding powders brought it to this. It also has higher in the other 3 defs and many more extra skill points to gain higher agility/defense to makeup for the lost defense. There are probably even better possibilities if I were to change the whole build around (perhaps something without powders). (we also probably shouldn't debate here on just one item)

I didn't say this element combo was bad. I agree that it is a really great combination, but it just underepresented thus hard to use (no weapons really besides black)

Ah yea, anima and Hephaestus go well with this too - but otherwise it’s kind of difficult

in all honesty just about every fire combo needs some help, but earth/air needs some love, earth is my favorite element and most earth/air items are really underwhelming compared to any other earth combo. just look at dune storm... why must it have such a high req in both and -1300hp
