Something Has To Be Done About This Lag

Before you comment: This is not FPS LAG, my internet is fine.

Seriously I cannot play nor do anything. Everything takes 3-4 seconds to register, the mobs hit in one swoop. What is this? Increase the server's capability. by the time the pack loads, I'm already dead because i've been sitting here waiting for my items to load.

 

Reduce Lag

 

It's always important to log off in a safe location, also joining servers with fewer people helps. With the recent influx of players the servers weren't necessarily designed for this amount of people, I can 90% ensure you that paying for better servers at Wynns current state is probably very expensive which is something they might not have a lot of

 

Can confirm it isn't just player count, was on last night when only ~400 people were on and still got some TPS lag near the Olux region. Doing CSST was fine for whatever reason.

 

CSST Might have been better because, yes the server was most likely full, but a large majority of the players were in 1 region loading a small number of chunks compared to when you have fewer people but they are evenly dispersed. What I'm trying to get it at is when you people all over the place, loading in different mobs, NPCs, particles, etc, it can become very laggy. But when everyone is in the same area less of everything is being loaded in.

 

We've stated in a previous thread that the best fix is that you go live in Canada

Apparently there are server issues around the Llevigar plains and Olux. Were you there when this happened, and if not, could you tell where you were and what you were doing? That'd help us tackle the issue.

You can download the resource pack here so you don't need to worry about the lag when you first join the world.

 

Sorry for the late reply. I don't know how areas help, but I was in Thanos and now I'm in Ahmsord and it's still lagging.

I was responding to this, by pack you mean resources pack right? When you first join a world you need to download the resources pack every time. So, instead of downloading the resources pack every time you join, you can just download it yourself, and you won't have to download the resource pack every time you join a world.

 

Well for me there is pretty much zero lag. Most people don't have an issue either, it's your issue.

This might be the first reported case of lag in these areas. Are you sure it's not a problem related to your internet? Does it lag everywhere, no matter where you are?
