    I was just farming some logs while I started taking damage. There were no mobs around me (not even ranged ones) as I'd killed them before I started farming. I took about 50 dmg/s and died because of it. Running away didn't help, and I was too laggy to use a health potion.

    What even happened?

    Which low level (lvl 15) mob applies -health regen or poison? I was outside of Detlas.

    Check your armor and weapons; they can be giving you negative health regeneration.

    I only have +19% health regen on my items.

    Name all your gear and your weapon, and also tell us where in the world you were. That should help us narrow down the causes.

    Negative health regen can't kill you, it'll leave you at 1 hp. Not sure why you died. There might've been a ranged mob hidden somewhere that you didn't see

    Some mobs can have the spell vanish which allows them to become invisible, I have no other explanation if that's the case.

    My exact position was x 342 z -1595 (West gate of Detlas, Detlas Suburbs area, where the wheat/barley farms are)

    The only mobs thats spawn here are Mage Zombie (lvl 10, 11) and Zombie (lvl 10, 13, 15) none of which have damage over time effects (I went and took damage from them, and they don't deal nearly as much damage as I took when I died yesterday, even when swarmed by 3 lvl 13 mobs)

    My best guess is the Orchard Farmer, who's level 20 and if I remember correctly throws apples as projectiles.

    This can happen when your internet connection lingers for a bit: you stop sending packets to the server (the server does not register if you move), while the server still assumes you are connected (you would freeze in place and if mobs came to you, they would be able to hit you).
    I am not sure if this is the problem but I'm just putting it out there

    It felt like having 5+ mobs suddenly gang up on me. A single mob couldn't do that much damage in such a short time.
