Mage/Dark Wizard Help Please Help Me, I Need A Goood Build For Mage

Im currently level 31 mage and don't know what to do.
i really want to be good so i need help im my build.
Currently have a lot of skill points stored and not using them
i want to do a lot of damage or to be fast either would be amazing and don't know what to do right now please help!.

 

You should't really care much about builds early on, those come in late game. for skillpoints I would focus heavily on intelligence, and spread them out a bit based on the gear requirements. Try to look for gear that has mana regen or spell damage and if you want to be faster look for Walk speed bonus gear

 

so you're telling me i shouldn't care now about builds?

 

Yes because you can easily throw a bunch of gear together and be good, as long as you care about the stats. You really shouldn't be looking for specific gear early game as that is for late game builds

 

about the skill points. should i use them or wait since i have some and don't know what to do.
and how can i get all my skill points back if i want to make a build

 

As Spicy said, builds don't really matter unless your looney enough to somehow walk into a boss altar on your first character or you have gotten up to level 57 which is when you need to fight your first "real" boss that isn't a living joke which is the Tribe Zombie Chief, I mean you could say Charon is relatively difficult but that's mostly a test of skill/strategy and not how good your build is and furthermore Charon isn't necessary to even beat all quests where as The Passage most definitely especially if you don't like going through the great bridge every 5 minutes to go back to Gavel and vice versa. Until then you shouldn't really care about what you wear as long as its unique or above and not 20 levels behind.

As for skill points since your a mage Intelligence is vital towards you and as a secondary I would recommend dexterity but agility is a good option as well.

Also just a quick note I would recommend build related posts be put in the builds sub-forum which you can go to by scrolling up on this current sub forum and clicking "class builds" at the near top of it.

Again you should be completely fine without a build as long as you don't try anything ridiculous on your first character such as the already mentioned boss altars which you wouldn't know how to activate anyway and that's probably for the better if your new to the server.

You should also from now on post class related builds in the class build sub forum as well as most of us like things organised around here.
