The online map appears to be outdated. Are there any plans to update it soon?

 

Eventually. According to colin there are some things that have to be dealt with before they can push a map update.

 

Don't get your hopes up. It's actually been two years since it was supposed to get an update.
By the way, if you check the map in the lobby, you'll see the up-to-date version, which is also orientated differently than the online one. They apparently just forgot to put the new, actually useful version on the website for two years.

That map is not actually up to date (notice the Coastal Trail and Light Forest). It is updated to 1.17 though, whereas the orthogonal map on the website is updated to 1.16.
