Question About Quest Item Rewards

I didn't know whether to put this in the bug reports or not so I'm just going to make sure here. When you finish a quest that gives you an item, say mummy's rag or gerald's necklace. Is it suppose to be pre-identified or do you have to manually do it yourself?

 

It will come unidentified, because it has a range of possible stats. Pre-identified items always have the same stats. It's not a bug.
