Im having difficulties in understanding the mindset of ibgredient makers really...

 

As I said in the changelog I don't think you understand why this wouldn't be good for armouring, durability is a massive consequence in this recipe because as I have stated already decaying heart just does the job better because it nullifies any drawbacks of +durability items that are % effectiveness where as this actually makes them 1.4x worse than what they would normally be, on the contrary however this is a giant window of opportunity for weaponsmithing and if you want to save this thread and make it more popular than it is now you should probably switch the category from armouring to weaponsmithing, this item would be almost like a decaying heart but for weaponsmithing and that is a HUGE game changer to the point we might be able to make a weapon that rivals even the highest damage mythic weapons output and still maintain a high durability.

 

The idea behind unicorn horn is great, it seems like a viable alternative to decaying heart in some cases, like rainbow mentioned.

The only problem is see with it is when used with low level ingredients with very little -dura, basically giving you 8.1 slots at the cost of 110 dura, which is manageable when your other ingredients only give -30.

For example, 1x horn + 5x coins leaves you with 85 dura and around 57%-74% loot bonus.

 

We already can make mythic dps with crafted weapons.
