Assassin/Ninja What Build?

Greetings!

I don't know for sure if this is the place to ask, but I'm sure I'll be told if otherwise.
I've got a question for you people. What is a good assassin build for a player who's played years ago and recently came back to the game?
I'm currently level 6 but I don't want to spend my points on the wrong things.

intelligence is always a safe bet, https://www.wynndata.tk/mana/ tells you at what point intelligence starts to make certain spells cheaper. note that you can reset your skill points at the cost of 2 soul points (which isn't too bad, just make sure you don't die below 7 or 6 or whichever it was)

if you do invest in intelligence, then you probably also want mana regen to compliment that, so items like

as for a weapon, i'd suggest using defibrillator from the decrepit sewers (do sewers of ragni quest) as soon as you can (it's a level 9 weapon, but you get xp from the quest and from the dungeon anyway). also, thoracic is pretty decent (you get it from completing the quest)

 

Skill points reset is now a thing, you can reset in the menu for 2 soul points (and skill reset scrolls are also a lot cheaper than they used to be iirc), so you don't have to worry about spending skill points wrong.

I'll second everything by2011 said above. Regarding weapons of choice, I would go with something along the lines of Defibrillator (9) -> whatever is decent in this level range -> Hashr Claw (39) -> Locrian (57) because Hashr Claw is still really good even in the low 50s -> Bob's Mythic Daggers (75) -> idk maybe Manna? (89) -> endgame stuff, personal preference would be the second Black build I linked above, dual-wielding Sitis for anything with resistance to Thunder/Fire or a heavy Water weakness, and a mana regen dagger for out-of-combat use.

If you do manage to find a Concentration, 100% use that because mana regen is great. Likewise, Avalanche, Sano's Wisdom, Sodeta Boots, Mask of Enlightenment, Dark Mage Robes, etc. are among my mainstays while leveling. My preference is to reach 68 Int as soon as possible (only diverting to meet requirements, like Hashr Claw's 30 Dex) so I can spell-spam decently, and prioritize mana regen (until endgame, where Assassin has really good mana steal options like Black).

As for skill points while int is nice really just anything that allows you to wear your best armor and use your best weapon is pretty ideal for early game
