Thrundacrack. I know the name is a reference to the Thrunda Uth enemies/runes/whatever, but it just makes the name sound hilariously misspelled and I love it.

My favorite one is Edgy.

The item as a whole is little just a reference to kids cutting themselves and I love it.

Like, ok.
It gives nagtive hp "cough, cutting yourself."
Gives dexterity "cough, for cutting yourself."
Gives melee damage "cough, for cutting yourself."
You were it on your Damn arm for fuck sakes "cough, where you cut yourself."

So just in case its not on the nose enough for you, lets name it edgy, Damn meme lords.

 

It wasn't named for self-harm. That's you putting a spin on it. It's supposed to be edgy like, literally edgy. Sharp and angular so you accidentally scrape up your wrist wearing it. We literally changed a name away from a self-harm reference, why would we put in another?

 

My favourite item name is Guardian. It sounds heroic, honourable and glorious.
Although it kinda sucks because health regen doesn't work in combat...

I made Papyrus before Sans, with the idea that it was like a spell scroll made of papyrus. Then I got asked on the team "Oh like Undertale?" and then I learned that Undertale existed, and then Sans came along.

If you don't want it to be a joke about self harm, then maybe change the stats to reflect that. Honestly, even if it was a nameless item, I would have still assumed it was a joke about self harm.

Last I checked having a sharp bracelet on your arm doesn't make you better at using your hands, if anything it makes you worse.

Also, dark humor is a thing. I'm not saying self harm itself is a joke, but the bracelet, is and does come off as a self harm joke. And anyone who knows what the word dexterity means, and can read, will see it as one.

No, self harm is definitely not a joke. But in your first quote you clearly make it out to be one. You also seem to keep putting out the "fact" that the item is a reference to self harm, when it wasn't intended to be that, and isn't even seen as that by many people? I've seen the item before, and I never saw it as a reference to all that, and I'm sure most people also didn't.

Unfortunately, with that name, it kind of is a little on-the-nose, intended or not. Simply calling it Sharp* or whatever would probably remove the connotation.

No, I said the bracelet is a self harm joke.
Never that self harm is, within itself, a joke. And I understand the item may not have been made as a self harm reference in anyway. But its well seemingly one its funny. Weather or not its intended to be one, every single stat, its name, where you wear it, all reflect one. I know plenty of people who toke it the same way, its somewhat similar to the whole cancer ordeal.

By the way, people who can't seem to understand the worlds "ABOUT self harm" pisses me off, so lets end this converstion. Thanks.
