Temple Of The Legends Not Spawning Mobs Frequently. Any Better Places To Grind?

Like the title says, the mobs in Temple of the Legends are spawning extremely slowly, to the point where I'm only seeing 1-2 every 20 seconds, yet no other place in Wynn or Gavel has this issue as far as I know. They used to spawn so frequently, but something changed. Even putting down a mob totem doesn't speed up the process very much.

So are there any other, better places to grind and level up in Wynn or Gavel for a level 71+ player? (Besides CSST, of course)

There are a few good grind spots in Dernel.

No offense but why exactly was the ToL spot nerfed? Was there any reason to do this considering that grind spot was supposed to be the primary reward from defeating the CoW? If it really mattered so much, they could have converted the ToL training area to a grind spot so it actually has some use.

Now it makes going through the effort of completing the ToL quest kind of pointless if the grind spot was nerfed that badly...

 

Not entirely useless. Let's not forget that you need to have access to ToL in order to purchase the Bob's mythic weapons. Not to mention there's also a boss altar there to, which is optional but pretty cool to check out. However, I do agree that I don't fully understand why they decided to nerf it.

 

Honestly, while the boss altar and bob weapon merchant is there we all know the best thing about ToL was that trainer grinding spot. Now, in order to use it effectively, you have to /class each time you clear the room of mobs, and even with dxp this takes away from xp gain you could be getting.

Sadly, at this point it's been nerfed so badly that herb cave might STILL be better than ToL simply because 1) there are more mobs and faster respawn rates, 2) totems actually work properly there, allowing for even faster xp gain, and 3) there is an optional starred mob grind spot in it that yields xp close to what the trainers yield, and those mobs are level 55.

This nerf basically makes ToL an afterthought and will basically make players think taking on WynnEx D and other quests is the best way to get xp at level 70, even though there was a perfect grind spot that got destroyed by a drastic decrease of mob spawns. I thought the ToL was supposed to be better than this, especially since we just had to kill the CoW just to get in...?

 

I never really used ToL that much to grind tbh. I've valued the other things it has to offer more than it. This is probably because once you actually get to level 70 you can pretty much do quests nonstop if you so choose. I also prefered grinding dungeons over that spot most of the time. You don't get to decide what the best thing about ToL is for everybody; that is completely up to the player themselves.

That being said, I still can see why people are going to miss it and I don't fully see why the nerf was implemented.

 

Personally I don't use the grind spot at all but I agree that the nerf, or relative nerf, is too much. That said, WynnExcavation Site D probably is a better way to get up at level 70 since it's pretty quick.
