    Hello.

I'm new here and I've been trying to find spots to grind at (currently at level 38), but I can't find a guide or wiki page to help me to level up fast.

Are there any good guides for grind spots? Or do I just go to the grind spots suggested by Wynncraft Map?

Thanks and have a great day

The grind spots on the map are usually pretty good, although it definitely depends on the spot - the xp may not always be worth the time it takes to kill the mobs, depending on your gear and the mobs' health, as compared to unmarked grind spots. At level 38, if none of the marked grind spots work you can probably just run around the Rymek canyon killing whatever you find, since mobs are pretty common around there. You could also attempt the nearby boss altar - even if you fail, you'll still get something like a third of a level's worth of xp just from the Discovery.

Note - grind mobs (ones with yellow stars in their names) won't drop gear, ingredients, or emeralds, just the occasional potion.

Grind mobs can drop ingredients/gear, just very rarely to the point where it's irrelevant.

When I complain about mob drops like powders and mythics being too low and the CT lowers them further:

There is a thread from a CT member who said that they don't give any loot.
"Grind Mobs are just like normal mobs except they spawn in specific places, have a lot more health, damage, regen, don't give any loot BUT they give a lot more combat experience than your usual mobs." [1]
By loot I think they mean ingredients, armour, weapons, but they still drop potions and emeralds (maybe).

I've had it where I've gotten armor/weapons before from grind mobs, but it's only happened twice.
P.S they can drop powders to.

Then that's probably a bug, as the top responses in that thread explicitly say grind mobs shouldn't have any drops; Emeralds and ingredients definitely shouldn't drop according to the OP. That's an interesting note though. Grind mob looting indicates that drop chances are modified per source to 0 for each grind mob. Can't wait to find out exactly how the probability tables look.

I assumed them dropping gear was a bug though.

I tried before to grind grinding mobs and it never dropped anything besides potions and emeralds, I might be wrong because the information have been outdated, but I think it makes more sense for them to not drop anything instead of a rare chance (there are a lot of things that don't make sense, but you get what I mean.. right?).
Also, you might killed a normal mob that is near them or even broke a pot that dropped a gear/weapon or it might be a bug.

Edit: Well, I was a little bit late :/
Oh, I didn't know that grinding mobs shouldn't drop emeralds.

On the topic of grind mobs, I was killing these mobs called "Icy Iron Golem" on my knight for xp (they were starred mobs) and for whatever reason these mobs were dropping items (weapons and armor) like normal mobs. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if they buffed drops on starred mobs, because I've killed other areas with starred mobs and they only dropped powders, potions, and emeralds.

I mean, if there is an internal tag that prevents the drops from happening (probably related to the star icon on the mob), then why is it doing it? The drops other than emeralds and ingredients are applied to almost all mobs without manual configuration, so someone could not just make a starred mob drop items while the star tag is applied to the mob...

…. I didn't understand anything... but i'm sure it's bug because it was already confirmed that grinding mobs drops only powders and potions.

It kind of is, it's just that the potion and powder loot table is separated from the loot tables we control. When making grind mobs, we didn't have the option to turn off these drops. Maybe we will in the future, but right now we can't control powders and potions.
However, we have a "lootMultiplier" multiplier, which should be set to 0 for all grind mobs. This controls the gear they drop. The point is that they don't drop anything, but apparently some break that rule and have some ingredients tied to them though.
