The twist is rainbow sucks.

Like I understand its gimmick, you get lucky rolling max on one thing, explosion kills litteraly everything.
The issue is its useless on 1v1 mobs and Damn it if you don't die fast af.

https://wynndata.tk/s/EnHRWi (credit to @jptheflip). it can run courage with little loss of dps (https://wynndata.tk/s/62eJHT), it's fast, it's wicked tanky (12k hp, 78 def, 100+ agi, no negative ele def). basically no downsides except no lifesteal, and you can even slot in drain if you have a good enough rekkr/horizon.

hive spear on this build doesn't even come close to hero (https://wynndata.tk/s/uZLF1x 3k less uppercuts even with double master hive). the only advantage is a TINY bit more sp, and also 2/4 more mana (considering that warrior has spells like uppercuts (air time) and bash has a set speed at which it can be casted, it's not a big advantage)



my list:
quinque - it has almost no niche, it has no powder special, and its damage is 100% outclassed by hive spear. large sad. it's hard to abuse its 65% water/earth damage with no neutral damage, yknow?

wick - like above, but has a powder special/mana steal, but very little damage. it's also 100% outclassed by hive spear. if you want air damage as a secondary, you have a nice 5 slots to abuse.

the problem with these two spears is basically there's almost no reason to use them at all unless you haven't beaten hive yet, which is pretty stupid.

not a buff, but nerf hive weapons. make them 1/4 reee

Also is it just my outside perspective (not having played endgame Assassin) or is Black extremely strong compared to other endgame non-mythic options? Maybe it's just the fact that there are items that fill its niche perfectly, but 10k spins with a halfway decent build and good survivability seems really powerful to me.

buff defense (or nerf agi)
buff ripsaw - mana steal or something idfk
buff desperation - so replaceable by like pencuri or something
buff rodoroc's pride - hp isn't that great, no damage buff, reqs too high to be a decent ele def patch, has somewhat impactful negatives, only good thing is some sp
buff sparkweaver - actually it's decent but super niche
buff fishscale - damage buff isn't that great, and also huge -thunder oof
buff silver/gold static necklace - problem is this line's main thing is the attack speed, except only the dia LI necklace gets attack speeds soooo
buff cosmium - it's a necklace but it's weaker than byte (no req?)

 

There's not really anything stopping you from taking Memento and also building Agility too. You lose out on 2-10 extra agi and int, but gain 45-195 raw spell damage, which can be really good especially for assassins and archers who can utilize it better.

 

so you lose 19sp

you know, that's pretty big, and can stop you from using certain builds entirely

also memento has -150 thunder def compared to capri's -100 thunder/earth defense. this is nice because sometimes it's easier to patch up capri (e.g. rainbow build)

also, capri has ws which is nice.

I'm fairly certain that is how cooking works in general.

 

To be honest I haven't used crafting that much and I overheard other people saying that cooking really has no purpose if potions already exist. I know potions last around 2-3 minutes, so does food actually last far longer than that (around 10+ minutes or more)? If not then it might still need a slight buff since it's intended to be a very long but weaker buff item.

 

After the increase in duration buff that's just been announced, base food duration looks like it's going to be in the range of 4000 seconds or so, with base potions probably being around 1500 seconds.

 

Okay, so basically the buff I recommended was already buffed...seems legit.

I'm curious as to what the current stats for potion/food duration are pre-buff, because I was making some level ~50 xp potions for another class and while the mooshroom ears I was using had -20s duration each I was only getting around ~140s duration for each potion (though they all had two uses so technically that is double). Does anyone know what the base value is, and does level/material level matter at all?

 

SilverMirror posted a screenshot of a potion that appears to use 3 Farcor's Trust and some duration boosters, so I think I overestimated the new potion durability - it's probably closer to 700-1000 seconds. Food durability sounds about right though.
