SPOILER Secret Area In Canyon Of The Lost Cave

The cave at X: 613 Z: -4691 Y: 64 has a secret area which seems to be a work in process boss/discovery.

First I found this sign to the left of the bridge
You have to climb the leaves down to the button because you get teleported back if you jump

The button opens a tunnel under the T4 chest

You then have to go through a maze

Which leads to a kinda broken door

And finally an empty room room with 2 doors which both teleport you back to the cave

Any ideas on what this could be for?

 

ye, there is supposed to be a tier 4 loot chest there.. the cave has been there since the gavel update

 

Yeah the Tier 4 chest is at the end of the main cave. The tunnel is below the chest

 

i meant in the room, there is supposed to be another chest

 

I've noticed that once, tho I rarely see anyone talking about it.
Even though it has nothing, it's a nice find regardless.

 

that place had a t3 chest before 1.18, i often went to get it along with the main t4

 

Pre-1.18, there was a T3 loot chest at the end of the cave. The fact that the cave is there but nothing is at the end tells us that the T3/T4 loot chest reworks probably consisted of removing all existing chests before placing new ones.
