    I’m usually not mad about item nerfs, but the FGE nerf is just retarded. Why make only two mana regen ingredients for jeweling if one is apparently too “op” for its level and if the other is impossible to use without abusing ingredient effectiveness? If there was another, high-level mana regen ingredient for jeweling, maybe I wouldn’t be as annoyed. If FGE absolutely had to be nerfed, pretty much any other way besides removing the mana regen would’ve been better

    there is another high-level mana regen ingredient for jeweling its called Eye of the Beast.

    2 mana regen on accessories are very rare and usually barred behind a challenge, as you can see with moon pool in hive, sacramentalia in CSST and diamond hydro necklace. This is because 2 mana regen accessories are too powerful for their own good to just exist without a huge effort. However, the same cannot be said about ingredients, as you can put more than 1 of the same ingredients in a recipe, even 1 mana regen on a single jeweling ingredient can roll into 6 mana if not balanced correctly. Eye of the Beast is a very rare drop even for tier 3 ingredients and is made in a way where you can only use 2 at best, the design bars it from being abused nonchalantly. However, FGE does not offer the same experience. You can absolutely stack 2 of them and then use ingredient effectiveness and req down ingredients to get 2+ mana regen, even without using too convoluted recipes, you can still get 2 mana regen pretty easily with little drawbacks. no single or even double weaknesses can be put on an ingredient to counter that 1 single mana regen without it being absurdly high for the item type that people can abuse via flipping, which, people did, by flipping the -10ws on FGE people made ws rings up to 40%, and thats a lot for a ring. Moreover, as I said before, 2 mana regen accessories are meant to be difficult to make and challenging to acquire, but FGE is just a tier 2 ingredients, it is much easier to be obtained than the much more tailored Eye of the Beast. That's why it is the best for the design to be reworked out of mana regen completely.

    Does it mean there wont be any more mana regen jeweling ingredients in the future? Ofc not, there is always this possibility if we managed to find a design that works, but for the level, tier and design of FGE, mana regen is too strong for its own good, and more importantly, everyone's.

    To be honest using FGE plus Eye of the Beast made it super easy to make 2/4 MR accessories. When double Hive was banned months ago it was meant to stop Hive Boots+Prowess and stuff like that but it also stopped 2 MPC or 2 Breezehands, something that was genuinely problematic. I guess the IMs also want to stop multiple recipes like this:

    Unicorn Horn
    2X Borange Fluff
    FGE (old)
    Wind Ornament (or Iridescent Elytra if FGE wasn't nerfed)
    Haros' Broken Badge
    (placement does not matter)

    There's no point hiding this anymore now that it doesn't work, but you could use FOUR of these. This would be worse than using 2 MPCs in the long run.

    I really hate FGE rework but to be honest I actually thought it was better than Eye of the Beast.

    And my fingers are too slow :/

    Ah I'd forgotten about the fact that jeweling also includes bracelets and necklaces... and yeah I can see why it's overpowered for bracelets at least, since you can easily surpass Sacramentalia.

    Mythics are overpowered! Let's make it possible to craft overpowered items to combat Mythics and make it so that everyone can get a Mytic without a need for that much RNG!

    Oh no! These items are too op... We need to nerf them.


    Everyday I'm more and more confused by developers trying to fix problems, but then deciding to make more problems. I'm legitmetly starting to think that they just think we're beneath them and that they can just make fun of us.
