Hello there, Wynncraft community! I'm sure most of you remember Wynncon 2017, and the following months of silence. Well, work on the next Wynncon has begun, and we need people to help us finish.

Wynncon is an unofficial event meant to bring the Wynncraft community together to celebrate the game we've all played. The event will have various festivities, games, speeches, and more, with various prizes that are given out in Wynncraft itself!

I know many of you only look at Wynncon 2017 as a failure and a huge mess; and while you're right in certain regards, we're hoping to move past that stigma. Our goal is to complete and improve the map from 2017, and overall have a more enjoyable event this time around.

You may have also noticed that we're going for a winter theme this time around. This is simply due to the fact that we don't have the time to complete everything we want to do by this summer. We hope this allows us to make a more complete product this time around, rather than rushing to meet a deadline.

If you want to join our team and help us get ready for Wynncon, you can apply here.

You can apply for these positions:
- Terrainer [Create the natural terrain around the map, such as islands, mountains, trees, etc.]
- Builder [Construct buildings and various other features around the map]
- CMD [Make various contraptions and easter eggs around the map to add functionality]
- Developer [Develop plugins for the event, to allow for more features]

We need people for all of these positions.

yeah, we ran out of people, motivation, and ideas last year.

 

If I can ever find some spare time in my schedule (final semester of college tends to limit that), then I'd love to help with terraining and maybe some building here and there. It's been a few months since I've spent any serious amount of time playing or building in MC, but I might want to get back into it.

Work you've done in this position in the past: Nothing that has to do with big servers. I never tried either though. However, I have got 7 years of experience in building in Minecraft.
Why you want to join the Wynncon team: I think it is a nice community event and I want to keep the Wynncraft community together a little bit so I can hope that I can help in any way.

Not really, just looking for people who generally know their way around CMDs.

Ooh, I think I'll apply as Dev. Definitely an opportunity to have a cool project to work on.

 

Around what time does it all go down? like at the end of the year? or mid 2019?

And I'm guessing more info will be given as time goes on?

 

We haven't decided on the exact date yet, but we want to do a winter event this year.

(Yes, technically the winter events are called Wynnterfest. We're not doing that this year)
