Jeweling Ancient Coins

would it be effective to put 6 ancient coins together or 5+borange fluff?
or 4+2 borange fluff..

 

Well putting 6 ancient coins together gives same max lb as 5 coins + 1 fluff but since fluff gives durability I guess 5+1 is better

 

did you add 12% to each 6% af ancient coins or did you add 12% to 30 all together?

 

You would probably be better off using glimmering coins, or Lucky rabbit's feet.
Coins adding 10% loot bonus and 7% walkspeed, while the rabbit's feet give 8% in XP and Loot bonuses.

just use unicorn horn

 

(6lb*1.12%)*5=33.6
(6lb*5)*1.12%=33.6

it's just multiplication, you can switch it around however you want

 

It might not work that way, depending on when in the process the rounding occurs (but I agree that this is most likely).

 

I did a test a while back, so I'll share this. I crafted a wand with 4 bob's tears (upper 4 slots) and 2 fighting sticks (bottom 2 slots) so each stick got +70% effectiveness. The result was a +4 tier attack, +18% walk speed, -62% melee wand.
Fighting sticks are +1 tier, +5% WS and -18% melee, no RNG. The only way you get these numbers is by multiplying and rounding each item individually before adding them together in the final product.

For example: 5*1.7 = 8.5, the game rounds normally and 50% will round up. This gives 9% on each stick. If added any other way (8.5+8.5=17, 10*1.7=17) it doesn't work.
Melee at -18*1.7 = -30.6, rounded up (or, down?) to -31 each.


So in the case of the ancient coins/fluff, without the fluff you'd see 24% - 36% on 6 coins (and -420 dura, yikes), with the fluff + 5 coins you should get 20% - 35% and -314 dura.

 

Both are not for Jeweling.
Also "Old Treasure" is the best loot bonus Jeweling ingredient.

For most loot bonus the best of those options is 5+unicorn horn but -200 durability is potentially an issue
