    Uh oh
Is this from the class builds discord ^^^ ? I don't do memes often, but when I do, it's not in discord. Also, I will give you an answer as to why rainbow is generally frowned upon or to be avoided in building. You could also just use the search feature, but most of the threads debating rainbow slapping are lost to the void that is 204 pages of class builds anyways. Here is the one link I have saved from way back.
Rainbow items are easier to build with and more powerful than any other type because the skill point system is skewed in favor of diverse skill point distributions over 1-2 element specialization builds AND rainbow items tend to give more SPs than other types, meaning SP requirements have no effect on their usability. One of my biggest problems with wynncraft's SP system is the tie between skills and % boosts like mana reduction, incoming damage reduction, and dodge. By making a rainbow build, you are rewarded for spending skill points in every single area. Every other type of build suffers from single stat high requirements because the boost from a skill point decreases as the skill's total increases. If you haven't already seen this, I highly suggest you apply it to your building. What the thread illustrates is the dynamics between skill points and their bonuses. By spreading your skill points into each skill, you are gaining more % effect than someone with the exact same number of skill points that applies SPs to only 1 or 2 skills. This means that you're getting massive bonuses for hitting a prerequisite (Here's a bonus for doing your homework type stuff). That is very powerful on its own, but then you can add in other items like Libra, Vaward, Cadence, or Spectrum, which also have massive damage % boosts. Now you start to reach combined 40 to 60% rainbow and neutral damage boost and your spells begin doing massive rainbow damage, regardless of what elements the weapon normally has. As long as you've got some neutral that can be converted, then the ele% and neutral% rapidly inflate your spells. Adding any raw spell to that just becomes OP, pushing the entire range of values up potentially thousands higher in averages. So far: We have plenty of SPs, LOTS of damage, and elemental defenses are the next phase. Elemental defenses are easy to obtain because you can pick from a wider selection of items to patch any holes easily or have a few weaker elements in exchange for massive mana or damage boots. I exploited the system previously with my Freedom LI Build. Libra had ele defenses, and SPs, and dmg%. That was OP. Now rainbow is a little less OP in that regard, but skill points are still much easier to come by with rainbow builds than others. Take this example: Shimmersight has an avg of 25 SPs (Base Value 5 in each skill) and 0 min reqs. Darksteel Full Helm has 35 and 55 DEX and DEF reqs, but only gets and avg of 11 SPs (7 and 4 DEX and DEF). Despite being an almost equal level helmet (3 level difference), it is far worse in terms of damage, defenses, and only slightly higher in HP despite actually having requirements. Here is the problem: Shimmer's skill points are worth MORE than Darksteel Full Helm's because Darksteel Full Helm is in the worst category. It is adding SPs to skills that are also already high (35 and 55). This means the actual increase they give compared to shimmer is miniscule. Assume both shimmer and darksteel have perfect rolls. Now lets find what the actual % boosts from skill point of each are:
    Shimmersight: 6.7%*5 = 33.5%
Darksteel Full Helm: DEX 6.2% and DEF 2.9%
Now sum the % boosts that they give (including negatives) of all the stats, swapping the %s above for the SPs and ignoring mana regen or stat HP.
    Shimmersight: 33.5% + 13% + 13% + 13% + 16% + 16% = 104.5% boosts
    Darksteel Full Helm: 6.2% + 2.9% + 16% + 16% + 16% -5% -6% -7% = 39.1% boosts

Here you can see in numbers what the difference in SPs ACTUALLY means, but it gets better! Who thinks 1 Mana is better, or 400 extra HP is better? If you voted 400 HP then you're stupid (a fact). But, it's time to think abstractly here. If you've spent your SPs getting that high req, why do you still have worse boosts than no-req item!? Reason: it's rainbow.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Notes: I chose Darksteel and Shimmer because they represent what I'm saying well and don't have nearly as many stats as Vaward, Libra, or other rainbow items. Also shimmer has been a subject of criticism from the IMs before, so why not bring it up again ;).

tldr: Rainbow builds are inherently easier to build and more powerful than any other type because the skill point system is skewed in favor of diverse skill point distributions over 1-2 element specialization builds AND rainbow items tend to give more SPs than other types, meaning SP requirements have no effect on their usability.

Out of all the rainbow builds I've used, morph has hands down been the best for me. Sure, there are plenty that are "better" based on opinion (and some I would even call statistically better, although very few), but in the end it comes down to personal preference, does it not? I like morph because I am able to easily access the 147 intel needed to fit my main playstyle, a.k.a arrow shield+arrow storm, have very easy access to a main line of defense, a.k.a 70% dodge chance thanks to agility along with 12k hp with decent all around elemental defenses due to the set itself, and still get decent damage with it, a.k.a 9-1ok bombs with the infused hive bow (although I still use arrow shield/storm much more than I do bomb arrow). Not too mention, like most rainbow builds, I am able to use multiple weapons to abuse multiple weaknesses (before I went to farm 6 more hive bows it was weapons like hellstrand, cluster, etc.), which is why I actually favor rainbow over anything else. It has no general major weakness, but it has no general major strength either.

There's also a reason I only use full morph with archer of course, and it's because I find it to be mediocre on any class outside of archer. The only other class I've even considered using full morph as my main build was assassin, and outside of being able to infinitely stun lock like most spell based assassin builds it wasn't all that good compared to other builds I could use. Shaming my personal preferences, and anybody else that uses morph in general like me, just makes me believe that you don't care.
I'm confused what you're actually arguing here. Rainbow builds =/= rainbow slap. It also seems you're arguing that rainbow results in increasing your power, but since it's easy to build it's somehow a bad thing. That shows me nothing in terms of how this equates to a build being "bad" outside of it being "generic", and actually strengthens my idea that rainbow slap isn't bad.

Oops. I meant rainbow items are easier to build with and more powerful than any other type. That ties into the rainbow slapping.
build -> item in that sentence.
I even said rainbow item later in that sentence. /oof

    2-EX. Interacting with 'Item Makers'

The 'Item Makers' aka 'IM' are the people who cares about the balance of the items used for builds.

Do you want to know the current meta of builds?
Do you want to ask about the current stat of the items?
Do you want to know their plan for next item patch?

Just try to interact with them, and have the advantage on making builds in long term!

example - Asking about the item which is underpowered :

    AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I agree rainbow slap shaming is too prominent in class builds
When someone new at build making rainbow slaps, it’s totally fine imo. We shouldn’t fault them for attempting to make something viable

Only rainbow slap shame if the builder is someone that already has experience and still decides to go the lazy route

Also rainbow slapping is like almost never optimal compared to the other build alternatives.

I think you should review rainbow slapping for your next video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

    Ok bye
