This might be considered a shitpost but PewDiePie is streaming minecraft servers right now, if anyone is willing to donate on his stream and suggest playing Wynncraft now is your chance!

Do we really want an influx of 9-years flooding the server, saying "WTF WHY THERE NO /WARP WHAT'S THE POINT THIS MINIGAME SUCKS" and such?

In any case, I never did understand why some people like him. Tried to watch a few videos once, stopped almost instantly for reason. I feel like the only reason anyone would sub to him is because everyone else is doing so.

 

i mean, do you want youtube to give more attention to corporations than they already are?
keeping this guy at the top at least lets youtube know that nobody wants to see corporations take over the platform as the main attraction, as TV is still a thing

Do we really want more fans, who makes the server more popular, fund the development of the game, make the world feel more alive and help the economy? Do we really want more people to join the server, so the developers would be supported more, probably increasing staff productivity and size?
Yes. Not wanting something to get popular just because you would be annoyed by the newcomers is incredibly egotistical. It's clear you have no idea what Pewds' fanbase is like, given that you failed to notice the '9-year-old' thing is a meme. Felix has grown since that time.

Assuming they're all toxic. But they're not. Part of his fanbase is toxic, of course, but that part will get punished for behaving that way, by being banned, muted etc. As a community, you should be open to newcomers, not trying to protect your forums from possible toxic players that you know will get banned.

 

really ignorant response here, they’re still god damn players, something a server needs. A negative bias towards youtubers who attract a lot of of fans is going to drive new players away. Even if they’re toxic assholes, the benefits still outweigh the negatives. Not everybody that watches Pewdiepie is a douchebag and we will at least get some new players that will continue to play the game. No reason to assume all the new players will be toxic ass 9 year olds.

so if pewdiepie loses his #1 spot then youtube wont know that people dont want corporations to take over?
