    Just started the quest but am unable to find the rotten apples. any ideas?

    The rotten apple should be in the store that one of the NPCs you talk to is. Try looking around the entire store and see if you can find a mob with a red name. As far as I know, the apple usually is upstairs in the store, but it could move somewhere else.

    Should be on the second floor of the budget store after talking with NPC Flodur. I agree that it could have been moved somewhere else.

    Occasionally the apple will spawn on the ground just outside the store somewhere.
