I used to go on Wynncraft for hours a day several years ago, and coming back to the server I've found that a LOT has changed (I stopped right before the gavel expansion was released) so obviously I'm completely lost. I'd like to start from scratch, by selling all my old loot, condensing the emeralds, and starting completely from scratch. My question is, where would be the best place I can go about selling all my old stuff as quickly as possible?

The market is an in-game trading system you can use, unfortunately non-donors only get 5 trading slots. Another way is to just feed items to the blacksmith for emeralds.

    Hello exocytosis,

First of all: welcome back! It has indeed been some time if you stopped playing before gavel, and a lot has changed indeed. If you want to catch up with all update up until gavel, this thread will be of great use and i highly suggest you read through it: https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/returning-players-read-this.189547/

This thread however does not contain updates beyond corkus, including the most recent profession update, which greatly changes the way leveling up works if you decide to pick up a profession or two, or all of them. To catch up with these updates, i suggest you read the patchnotes found here: https://forums.wynncraft.com/forums/major-updates.111/

Now, as for an answer to the selling question, it depends on the items. Noting that you are an old player, some items may be bugged, appearing under the old item system instead of the new. You are not allow to sell these, as selling any glitched or bugged item is bannable. You are allowed to keep (some of) them as a souvenir from the old days. For random legendaries and items, the new marketplace could be a good place to start. Alternativly you can auction the valueable items in the trade market section on either the forums or the discord. Make sure to pricecheck items you think have a value, such as legacy collectors items, which can be worth quite a bit if its the right item.

Lastly, i wish you a lot of luck and fun on your adventures!

Pre-Gavel armor and weapons will start off unidentified (identification means a very different thing than it did before Gavel) so keep that in mind.

It means that instead of identification being a thing that just boosts some stats and being optional, an item will be unusable before being identified, and all identifications will come at once. Tons of new ids (Some are even negative!) though every id and statistic on an item does exactly what it does on the tin.
