Forgettable Places

My list:
- The realm of light. This one is quite worth mentioning here since what you did there is just a boring af fetch quest. Lets just say:
One guy: plz save our realm
*Player walks to a place and got bitten by a dog*
Another guy who found you: go get me two things
*player found those things*
Same guy: k walk there
*player walked there*
Some forgettable guy which you only see once and nothing special about him: we sealed a guy, but if he broke the seal, we will fight him ourselves, so bye player
*Quest Reward: 1 le and some exp and a useless quest helmet*
*Broke keyboard*
Yeah that is basically the realm of light in a nutshell. nothing special.

- Lion Lair. What is there? A t4 loot chest? Welp, I'll just pass. I could find a shit ton of t3 and t4 chests in Corkus or rodoroc.

- Troll Tower. To be honest, I think if they make a quest about it, it would be interesting, but it is supposed to be an easter egg, I assume.

- Dullahan's Castle. Come on, make it a quest or a dungeon or just a boss fight. This place lacks of lore.

- The Bear Zoo. What is that place actually

- Elkurn. I remember they sells expensive af mushrooms and a dungeon quest there. Yeah, nothing special.

- Volcanic Isles. Yeah, you just wasted 3 mins of your life there doing a pointless quest, r u proud of it?

I'd like to see something similar to the Zhight Island spelunking game added to Karoc Quarry and/or Maro Peaks

 

id love a minigame in those places but like not exactly like zhight island

well if youd just want to play the game and not waste time with the new economy update then durum isles is pretty much useless (at least tio me since im not doing anything with the update) and was there a christmas quest on the most recent christmas i cant remember

 

The only problem with Corkus is, it's an entire province. Even once I might reach level 100 on an account, I'm still constantly going in between gavel/wynn to do trading, grinding, etc. TBH, I haven't played 1.18 that much yet, ( only reached lvl 12 on an account ) so I wouldn't know much about the material grinding.

IMO, provinces shouldn't be forgettable. I know Wynn and Gavel (except for the canyons of the lost) like the back of my hand. However, there are many parts of Corkus that I just haven't even explored yet. I wish there was more Corkus content. I love the builds there, as I like steampunk a lot more than fantasy medieval. However, unless there is now an abundance of really powerful materials, I don't think I will be heading to Corkus any time soon.

And to finish it off, a counter argument to your original counter argument. All the towns that you listed act as a checkpoint in the game. Without them, getting from level 30-40 would be a giant pain without Almuj. Getting from lvl 40 - 50 would be a giant pain without Nessak/That one tunnel in Lusuco. However, Gavel doesn't act as a checkpoint. (I get it, there are some really useless towns like Gelibord) I never needed it to get past a certain level or get a certain item (unless it's from FF). As it's level gap is pretty awkward IMO (lvl 82-95 essentially), I would always grind at frozen hights. (Yes, I grind at frozen highths at lvl 80)

TLDR; While Corkus is probably my favorite area in the entire game, it is easily overshadowed by Wynn/Gavel. There shouldn't be a "forgettable" province, as it could be seen as 1/3 of the game just disappeared. It just seems like the entire purpose of Corkus was destined to be a very long side quest.

There are quite a few valuable ingredients there
There's the 6 Microchips
There's the ____ Deposits
There's the Megafern
There's the Golden Avia Feather
There's more, but I don't really grind ingredients

For materials, there's
The only Avo trees
Probably the only Pine trees
Bass Spot (36 nodes)
Pretty good Sorghum spots iirc
A surprising amount of lower level materials

There's quite a few nice items there
All of the LI items
Summa
All of the FF items
Electromage's Boots is a bit underrated
Necklace of a Thousand Storms

It has many of the best grinding spots in the game, although they are a bit more dangerous than Freezing Heights. Most notable of which is behind the Avos Temple, which (to me) is basically level 95 Freezing Heights + a couple of projectile mobs

HAD the most powerful loot run in the game (which was countered by being the most popular loot run in the game), and still has an extremely good Loot Run (shown in https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/1-18-loot-running-guide.243420/)

Still though, places like Gelibord and Olux can be skipped with ToL and Troms.

I agree that compared to Wynn and Gavel, it has less content and isn't a major point when you're leveling up (although I wouldn't call it 1/3 of the game, it's a mini-province and is smaller in size)

yes it does have ingredients/materials
it has more than just ff items
has great grinding spots
had and has amazing loot runs
olux/gelibord/llevigar can be skipped with nesaak/troms
although i do agree that it has less content, and isn't a major place when you're leveling up

That one island in the ocean that was the furthest west back in like 1.10-1.12 or something, i forget what it was called

when they mean forgettable, they mean that they don't have much to offer or something like that

The place is used for 2 quests and nothing else.

 

Oh, I almost forgot: all previously used grinding areas because the game thought it would be better with less mob spawns and hardly any item drops. Even CSST is now semi-forgettable. Where do people even have grinding parties now?

Everything isn't just about ingredients now. Please, buff item drops and not make lb sets a requirement to farm.
