For the past month I've been working on the biggest update to my story yet, and it's finally time to share it with you guys. Welcome to... Heroes and Vagabonds! Let me explain all the big changes I made.

1: The story is no longer called Destiny's Arrival. This is because Destiny isn't really a part of the story, because you're making choices rather than following your fate. I chose this new title because heroes and heroism are a big part of several plotlines, and all the characters could be considered vagabonds (which can refer to having no home or job).

2: Aledar is now named Esdel. Some of you probably know the reason why.

3: Pages for Harrison 2.0 and the Assassin are now posted, so all four classes are finally represented! I'd highly recommend everyone start from page 1 again, I have a few other surprises made as well.

If you have any feedback or criticisms, please let me know. This is the biggest update for my story yet, given that it adds two new protagonists, so I want to know what you think.

I'm sorry if the update isn't that big, I've been working on a different project that is more important. Once it's done I'll be able to shift more of my attention to H&V.

If anyone is wondering what happened to Heroes and Vagabonds, I've become addicted to 1.18 and haven't worked on it as much. Don't worry though, I'm still brainstorming lots of ideas and plotlines and I plan to release an update for my story this Sunday.

While this isn't an update, I feel like I ought to tell you this news since you've been following this story for a while.

I've decided to stop working on Heroes and Vagabonds/Destiny's Arrival. It simply was way to big of an undertaking, as the natural structure of a Choose Your Own adventure story would have lead me to write way too many plotlines. I don't think I could've finished this story before five years, especially since it's just something I do for fun.

While this started out as a choose-your-own adventure book set in the Wynncraft world, I slowly shifted my focus to telling large plotline and having character interactions. Writing one book takes a while, and doing that 20 times over is impossible for an amateur like me. Furthermore, there were several plotlines that I had no interest in writing.

This isn't the end though, because I still love writing and might decide to write another story set in the world of Wynn. Who knows, maybe it will have some other gimmick and feature characters from Heroes and Vagabonds?


I hope you all understand what I'm getting at here, and thank you all for reading my stuff.

 

Thanks for the story i really enjoyed it, this was a really big story so i understand why you didn’t continue it’s fine to let go of things when it becomes a burden instead of a fun thing to do. If there will be any new stories you make i would be sure to read them :)

Thank you so much for the story nonetheless. Reading it from the first chapter, I want to first of all thank you so much for posting this story. It was very enjoyable and so unique (compare to my piece of shit). I am so happy to have read this story of yours, even if it means it has come to an end. I always believe writing something like these, takes patient and well thought out planning. Sometimes it doesn't work out the way we want, and so the story gets discounted. Nevertheless, I will be looking forward to your other works, tag me please if you release something new?

Since some people have mentioned that they'd like to read whatever I make next, I'm pleased to say that I am indeed working on a new story. However it won't be posted for a LONG time.
Basically every lore on the forums posts their chapters as soon as they're done writing them. For my next story, I want to write 10+ chapters and have the entire storyline planned out, then I'll start posting stuff. These won't be short chapters either, it will be close to the size of a novel. If anyone's interested though I might give you some previews of the story a few weeks before I post it.
