A Thank You To The Devs

I know that not many of you will say this, but I just wanted to make this post to thank everyone who has worked on Wynncraft over the years.

I have been playing Wynn for well over 5 years now, almost a third of my life (which is absolutely crazy to think about). And though I haven't been on all that time, this game in a game has left such a mark on me. I've seen Wynn grow from its small beginnings to this fully fleshed out experience and to what could be considered its own standalone game. I was a part of the community since the level cap was 75, elements were yet to come, and even before the Wynnic sailors mapped the rest of the ocean in the Ocean update. I've seen so much of the work you Devs have put into the world. I've seen the Province of Wynn be shaped into new pieces of artwork many times over. With the addition of Gavel a few years ago my heart jumped, there was a whole new place to explore. I remember back when InTheLittleWood took the challenge to scale the mountains at the great gate to what would be Llevigar and to the rest of the new Province. I was so hyped for what was to come. The Gavel update itself was such a wonderful expansion and yet you all never stopped improving Wynn.

And now we are here at 1.18. I recently decided to do a complete reset on all my classes and start from scratch as I did years ago. It's like experiencing Wynn all over again. So many quests that I thought I had nailed down have small changes (or complete reworks) that have me working around new challenges. And once again, you keep adding new artistic layers to the world that's already been established and it's truly amazing to see.

I'm still so excited for the future of this game in a game. Though I know that Fruma is still a while off, I feel like I will still have the same excitement I did for Gavel as we near its release.

Here's to many more years to Wynn. I'm glad I've been a part of this amazing game!

I also want to express my gratitude and appreciation for all the work that has been put out by the devs. I joined about a year ago and I'm truly amazed as I travel, completing quests. Thank you. <3

 

I'm also happy for all the work the devs done, but praising them won't take away many, MANY things that they have done. And the list is quite long.

Whoops, I wrote the comment wrong and some people probably like it becouse they thought I had differnt intantions.
I meant to say we shouldn't forget many, MANY BAD things that developers have done.

 

I agree so strongly with this. To the point where I even dm’d jp saying thank you to him and the rest of the ct for all their hard work.

For all of the difficult discussions/debates that are in progress, I think this thread is much needed. I know the devs work really hard to make the content for the community despite our tough criticism and I thank you all, not in spite of any perceived shortcomings, because your passion is what keeps the game going as much as the community's enjoyment. I thank all of you, including @Salted . I know I was unhappy with your past statements, but I still see growth and know the CT, IM, Builders, and GMs are great groups that deserve all due credit for their work. Thank You. ;)

 

I'd like to say thanks too, I guess.

I feel bad seeing all these threads criticizing the update and so few threads like this giving the CT thanks. They are volunteers after all, their fuel for continued work on Wynncraft is our support as a community. And that's not to say that we should just shut our mouths and be happy we got anything at all, obviously people can and should speak their minds about their issues with Wynncraft, but we need more stuff like this thread to balance out the criticisms.

Having been around since the Wynnter update, I can say that it is absolutely stunning how far this game within a game has come in the past few years. The tireless work that the Content Team devotes to the furthering of this game is admirable and should serve as a shining example of the dedication it takes to make something incredible.

To all current, former, and future members of the Wynncraft Content Team, Website Team, Moderation Staff, and Administrative Team, thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

 

Every now and then, a thread like yours pops up. Even though 90% of the threads in “Wynncraft” are disappointing, everyone has a bit of good in them.
This is the good part of Wynncraft. We love you.
