Should Safety Gear Not Be Colored?

    i noticed while gathering some of the adventurers set that, instead of being colored its famous cyanish blue, it was plain old leather. is this normal? did they remove the color, or is this another byproduct of the strange broken helmets? what even caused those helmets to break?
