The Obelisk of Inversion is really cool - the rapid teleport/blindness makes for an interesting effect.

 

What is that?

 

A rare mob in Kander Forest, most notably the source of the Obelisk Core (-200% effectiveness to the ingredient to its right - essentially, reverses all effects of that ingredient).

 

two things: one, would that mean it results in a higher-durability item?
And Two, the update seems to have resulted in a much higher quantity of chunkloading errors, so if there's an avoidable reason for that it might be a good idea to make a setting for it and/or remove whatever it is entirely.

 

The chunk loading errors are probably due to server strain. It should go down in a few weeks, once the update rush slows down.

If your first question is regarding the obelisk core, effectiveness boosts modify everything about another ingredient except for other effectiveness boosts.

Why are unidentified items so hard to get as drops? I've been killing thousands of mobs near Ragni while grinding my professions, as I've just come back from a short hiatus, and not ONE unidentified item has dropped. Is it because I am too high level so no loot drops? ("Combat level" is 85)

 

I'm pretty sure this is the reason, but not certain.

 

A lil sad 1.8 support was dropped, but oh well, the new features hopefully make it worth it.

 

I died during the Dwarfs and Doguns Part IV battle between Doguns and Dwarfs (after being thrown up by the canon). Is here a possibility I can do this again? Or isn't this fixed yet?

 

You should be able to reach the war again by just going up to the Molten Heights and entering the Dogun village.

I think the addition of gathering and crafting levels to the level next to a persons name when they talk is overall a detriment- while in the past they were useful for determining someones combat level- which was the only kind before, and is still the most significant (try gathering pretty much anything at combat level 1, while you can still traverse the game at gathering/crafting levels 1.)- it now gives you a number that is, practically, gibberish. if someone's level is 100, that doesn't mean they've reached the end of content, it means they did some crafting; you aren't a new player when your level reads as one, but when it's 13 or so. And I'm not sure what useful information one gets from knowing that a given persons crafting + gathering + combat levels are, say, 230. they're past level 15 in at least 5 classes (is that the word to use now?), I guess, but they could be at level 103 and going back to do some crafting, or they could be level 15-16 around the board. or anything else.

 

Yeah, it's quite annoying - but at least we have /toggle chatlevel

(it bothers me every time someone I'm talking to in chat asks what level I am though)
