Guide 1.18 Loot Running Guide

This one is designed to heavily favor archers, yes. Just due to how efficient it is to escape upwards, which warrior and Mage can't do well, although all three can travel distance with spells. It would be epic to see a warrior run. Since Glimmering Beak and Agullo Beak (or whatever it's called) now exist. Could make an epic loot run spear.

 

So I guess I actually have just gotten extremely lucky. Granted chest spawning is a lot faster. I just watched someone open a chest in front of me, and then it went away. So they aren't client side. I didn't think so at first, due to not official announcement about it, but it was just too hard to believe after going so long without missing a chest

 

Do you use speed boost or loot bonus equipment?

 

I use a mix of both. Currently my armor has about 55% walk speed and 190% Loot Bonus, but those don't include my 33% Loot Bonus bow and my 39% Walk speed bow. I'm working on an entirely new set of equipment, except for just a couple pieces, and I'll make sure to post that somewhere in the near future :) My list of current gear as of right now is: Pelier, Diamond Dust, Jera, Almuj Walkers, Kaze, Kaze, Knucklebones, Emerald Pendant
And for weapons, I carry Gale's Force and Scrooge

Added a more clear alternate method of earning money via Loot Runs, which yields quicker raw Emeralds than picking up every ingredient and trying to sell them. Can be found right above "The Conclusion"

So, I've been thinking about this a bit today, and funny enough, even got asked some questions about it too. Within the next week or two, I'm going redesign this thread a bit. I want to see if I can get an effective Mage and Warrior loot run going, as it's been requested. I'll have different loot run sets listed, specific to class.

As Archer will take advantage of Walk Speed, I'm thinking Mage will be taking advantage of Mana Regen mostly, for teleport spam, and Warrior Mana Regen for Charge Spam, as well as Walk Speed with the outstanding ingredients for Weaponsmithing that have been provided this update. I'll also do some investigating around Molten Heights and other areas to see if there's a better place for Mages and Warriors to take advantage of

Was it from a loot chest or a mob? If so, do you remember which mob? This information would help the community greatly!

 

It was from a mob! I don't exactly remember the name, I believe it was some sort of Security Bot. It was small and did not move around at all, and I found it in an open area, where the monkeys commonly spawn!

I've actually been messing around since the video. I added a small section about this, but instead of taking all ingredients, I've only been taking a select few that I know will sell for over 1EB consistently. Most of the ingredients before would have required me to sell them at 64e each, but that was just overpriced in most cases. If I didn't sell each ingredient for 64e, I was losing emeralds, since I could take a stack of emeralds over said ingredient. I'm not sure if there's a right or wrong way of doing it though. Only time will tell

 

Ugh, I just bought a Linear Accelerator for 40,000 and reselled it in hopes of a bigger profit but I'm so unsure about it.
