What Are The Current Problems With Pvp?

    In your eyes, what are the main problems with PvP? Why is it so unfair / unfun, and what makes it bad? Or is it even bad to begin with? Try and be as specific as possible, and if you have any possible solutions feel free to mention them. I'm trying to compile a list of all of the existing issues with PvP and think about them for a bit so... yeah! :D

    Also what would you want out of PvP (if that's something you like), if you don't want PvP at all then tell me WHY you don't want PvP to begin with.

    Current Issues:
    1.
    Players deal so much damage and they have so little health that in PvP, spells just 1 shot players...
    2.
    Melee isnt viable because they either cant aim well enough, or they have to get too close which ends up in them taking lots of damage...
    3.
    Archer dominates because it is basically never hit due to arrow shield, speed, and long distance, and assassin also dominates because they can go invisible, and take the effects from other players
    4.
    "90% of damage in war is elemental". Defense doesn't deal with elemental damage, while agility can help you avoid most of it. Also agility helps give you better walk speed, high enough damage to 1 shot, and overall is just op af.
    5.
    Once you get hit once, you're basically dead since the damage is unavoidable and isn't affected by skills I dont thinkkkk? Broken either way.

    Offered Solutions (Does not mean they are good, just listing peoples ideas):

    Problem 1. Divide all damage after calculations by a specified amount, from @Robbee

    -class dominance (archer/assassin)
    -playstyle dominance (spell)
    -sp dominanace (agi)
    -95% of builds one shot and get one shot (due to nature of the game)

    Also, repair the pool.

    As for an answer? Too much damage, too little heath. Fights are extremely short. Poison is overpowered, as are elemental defences.

    -range and vanish, respectively
    -high enough damage to one shot usually, and enough AoE to not need aim. Melee is too slow and doesn’t deal enough damage, tank doesn’t deal enough damage and doesn’t work w/ archer
    -High mobility, tankyness by virtue of agility, defense doesn’t cover element defense, and decent enough damage to one shot
    -not really tbh

    honestly pre-gavel when the max was level 75 and there weren't many builds (basically only one), pvp actually worked pretty well. But today, pvp is almost always people just one shotting each other, and some classes (warrior in particular), just don't have spells designed for pvp.

    Earthsky Equinox already answered, but I'm gonna end up adding a couple more details (bolded)
    1.
    a. Archer stays 40 blocks away and spams bomb with a huge AoE and can have a constant arrow shield up. Furthermore, Archer gets Speed and an amazing mobility spell to stay far away
    b. Assassin has vanish and can steal other class' effects (War Scream, Speed)
    c. Teleport doesn't do damage, minor point though


    2.
    a. With spell, you get range, and higher burst damage. (Ex: you're vanished, and you melee with assas
    b. With melee, Archer is too hard to aim most of the time (too much movement) and other classes have to get pretty close (mage is somewhat usable though)
    c. With hybrid, you have to melee to cast spells. Same dilemma as b.
    d. Forgot to mention, but poison is also broken. Unblockable damage, so if you get hit by any attack, then you probably die in the next 3 seconds


    3.
    a. Agility affects elemental defense, defense doesn't (90% of damage in PvP is elemental)

    Remove the PvP arena. Add guild wars pvp. People would have to fight each other as a team ;3 Plz gimme credit if u gonna make a suggestion about this...

    People would actually have to think strategically and would have to fight as a team in order to win... That's why I want guild SEASONS ._. Gosh I don't wanna explain everything here cuz it's just a fricking post so who cares .... *goes back into my little tiger cave and hides from social spoopy interactions*

    The one-shot-problem could probably solved relatively easily by diving all damage (after all calculations like elemental defenses etc) through a certain number in duels.

    1. This is not your idea, it has been thought of by many before
    2. While it is a good idea, it does not resolve the fact that PvP is heavily unbalanced and having PvP implemented in its current state would not be viable

    Why should they be rip? Because they deal even less damage? Well, on the other hand, their enemies also deal even less damage to them, which makes the fate somehow a stall-game, but thats the thing with tank builds.

    One main issue is that wynn is a PvE game as a base. Which means we are fighting mobs with much higher health and much lower damage pushing items and our builds towards a bit of defence defence and all of damage.

    So when you get two players doing allt of damage with only a little bit of defence....

    Also Intell doesn't work in the nether

    The main problem is the opness of the Mythic weapons, especially speedy archers with grandma is a nightmare in duels. However, I can tell item update tries their best to balance this situation, with the introduction of crafted items I believe vitually any build can be countered. Hence I'm already good with the current system. Although, it'd be much nicer if there was a more practical way to counter poison and raw spell.
