SPOILER Let's Appreciate The Improvement To Maltics Well.

Sure, it isn't as big as a improvement as Deja Vu was but this quest was finally made to be not a boring fetch quest. The witch actually has a purpose of being in the well now and I think it is set up pretty well with the whole child thing and her being chased off.

Yea, it is short but why is it shit?

 

talk to a guy that wants you to kill a witch in a well. go into the well. do a couple parcour jumps. watch a cutscene. kill the witch. talk to the first guy.

its literally the same gameplay with an unskippable cutscene

I like the new one, it’s similar to my favorite quest wich is the mashroom man quest, the two of them are kinda similar in the funny side even though you kill a witch in the maltic well quest and you get someone drugs in the mashroom man quest.

 

Its still a huge improvment, I dont know if you never did the old quest, but it had parkour above water with projectile throwing bats around. And a witch with no reason to be there. The new quest actually gives her a purpose and theres more interesting tasks to do.

Not every quests has to be an epic multi-stage adventure, especially in the lower levels. I'm totally fine with the new version, it doesn't has much gameplay, but what it has is executed well.

 

Not really. I'd say it's slightly worse now. Becouse of weird plot and uneccessary mechanics.

 

And the gosh darn knockback skeletons.

 

I like the new quest - even if I still hate unskippable cutscenes, this one is pretty short.

 

No, giving personality to a character makes you more of that RPG aspect, killing a mindless animal just seems dumb, this time you're actually hunting (I guess) a witch, instead of just dying like a fool to those nasty bats.

And I'm not trying to discredit your work, I know you worked your ass off this update with the new quests. Especially with the Molten questline

 

totally enjoyed it in the hero beta! there was 100% no barrier blocks blocking the well!!111

 

wth I thought Maltics Well was way better now. No more hunting for glass bottles or bat ears. It's more straight forward but actually makes sense and has an understandable story, even if it's a 3 minute adventure I think it's cool.

 

One of my favorite quests tbh.
