I Hate Wynncraft

Well then, it's settled. The point I was trying to make is that the importance of Ragni's design is overstated. I don't think that possibly affecting 20% of the playerbase (your estimate anyway) makes something the most important in the game, especially if there are other factors at play other than those that were specifically made to guide the player.

From now on this will just be about what you think is important, which is subjective, so I'm not going to try to change your mind and I assume you'll do the same. Let's leave it at that.

On a side note, the Dark Souls comparison is extremely flawed. Saying "x" people tend to be very dedicated isn't an example, it's just a hollow statement. It doesn't give me any information on how this translates over to Wynncraft and you didn't explain what it was like for Dark Souls players. For instance, I can say that all the tryhards on Hypixel are very elitist and say that that is an inherent trait that Wynncraft players share (just a random thing). I don't know how and why the Hypixel are elitist, because there isn't an example. I don't know why this should apply to Wynncraft, because there isn't an example. It's a statement without substance, wether it's true or not. As an "example" this comparison falls flat on its face.

 

No no, you still misunderstand.
It wasn't a direct comparison, Its an example of how players react to these things.
When difficultly is out there, its bond to be challenged, that's all I meant.

Also, 20% is a lot. It may not sound like a lot, but imagine a wynncraft with 20% less players. That's 20k people who didn't stick around past the first town.
Name something that can make more impact then that, and I will accept.

Also, I was subjective? That was a weird statement. If you mean using human physiology, yeah, game designers need todo that.

Just my personal opinion here, but I would actually love to see more of what goes into developing Wynncraft :)

I know you all are busy with the work of developing the server, but a 2 to 5 minute video update or tweet talking about the kind of work you all are up to (without necessarily giving away the end goal of that work) would be nice to see every now and then.

if you dont "care" that your points are taken seriously then I wouldn't advice you to make a feedback thread. It just starts to sound like you just want to shit on things for the sake of it, with that attitude. I considered not clicking the thread at all just because it sounded like a stupid "REee, Wynncwarft swucks pleas stop sewor" type of thread.

It was just a suggestion on how to get people, especially the CT/devs, to take things seriously and to actually reach out to the developers without sounding rude and annoying :)

 

I think the meaning was: "If newbies are not lead away from high-level things next to them, they will try to fight them and die, thus
a) discouraging them from playing the game because "its too hard"
b) making them keep banging their head against a wall, hoping it will break"
Dark souls was probably used as an example because of the difficulty of the pigmen if fighting them at level 2
just what I think was meant with the dark sours example

 

The point that I made this thread wasn't to get the attention of any devs and hope that they fix all the problems I stated. It was more to state my opinions and feels about the current state of the game and incite discussion about it within the community that would click on the thread. If the devs did read through it and act from it, then that's a plus, but that isn't my goal. I want to be clear that I'm not here to try to hope and beg with a non-impactful thread title/thread that changes something. The very point of my phrasing "I hate Wynncraft", as well as the thread contents, is to show my extreme frustration with the current state of the game, and I know you and many others who disagree with my thread title can clearly see that.

I’ll consider a title less extreme next time, but I feel this title fits this thread perfectly for its intentions.

Hey! Stop stealing lines from @Toy__ ! If you don’t stop I’ll report you to the Wynn police.

 

I started like 4 or 5 years ago, stopped shortly after gavel update because the lack of things to do after you have ever class level 100 and done almost everything and maybe slightly because toxic people in guilds (some of the guilds are gone for good thankfully).
I dont really hate wynn but adding something to work towards in the endgame would be cool

 

Even though I'm not in college, I can relate to this on a spiritual level.

By the way, this was an excellent thread. What you highlighted seem to be legitimate problems with the game.
