Orange Wybel Smash Confirmed

Featuring the newest addition to the Smash roster, we have ORANGE WYBEL as our representative! Now we can truly say that everyone is here!

Orange Wybel is a featherweight character; with a heaviness of just 70, they now rank as the third-lightest fighter. With his floaty physique, he can easily manage 4 normal jumps. However, this comes at a cost of lateral movement: Orange Wybel has a walk speed of just 0.76 and an air speed of 0.84. But don't let his endearing demeanor fool you: he hits hard, and he launches harder! His moveset encourages fast maneuvering and well-timed blows with his heavy-hitting high-lag specials. Indeed, he serves to be a glass cannon with a knack for punishing blows.

Now, what is his moveset? They are as follows:
Neutral Special: Meteor
Side Special: Charge
Down Special: Rowdy Serum
Up Special: Teleporter

Meteor: Having a Blast!
Don't let the name fool you; this move cannot meteor smash under typical circumstances. But don't let this discourage you, as this is a very powerful move! Orange Wybel channels his inner furry fury and unleashes an explosive blast that is sure to send your foes flying! This move will automatically detonate if it contacts an opponent, but you can manually detonate it as well by pressing the special button again!



Charge: Bane of Bruisers!
What an underwhelming name, you may say. However, what lies beneath this underwhelming name is a beast to behold! Orange Wybel, er, charges his charge and launches his entire body at his foes, horns-first! Continuously mash the side-special input in order to increase the power of your charge: you can do this up to 8 times! Be careful, as the force of the launch may cause you to self-destruct. However, a fully charged charge can KO opponents at as low as 25% damage! Additionally, while an unpowered charge may not do a lot of damage, it can be very helpful when recovering.



Rowdy Serum: Hordes of Fun!
This sneaky counter move is the kind that lays a trap. Whoever falls victim to this will have a little surprise... or multiple little surprises. A device is placed at the site of the move, with nothing but a golden pressure plate visible. However, if anybody is curious enough to try to step on it, they will be savaged by a horde of some very angry Wybels. This attack has little launching power, but it can build up insane amounts of damage. Only one pod can be active per player at any given time, however.




Teleporter: A Timeless Classic!
"Teleporters are boring, and a cheap echo recovery move", you may say. However, Orange Wybel has realized that there is nothing preventing him from using his teleporter on his opponents. Indeed, when you are airborne, this will bring you up a good distance and render yourself helpless. However, when Orange Wybel is firmly grounded, he will instead hurl the teleporter forwards. If an enemy falls into its range, a short auditory cue is given and you have a few frames to input the direction they will be teleported. They will not be rendered helpless if they aren't already, but Teleporter is great at disrupting combos, charges, recoveries, and more!



Orange Wybel also has an interesting passive ability. If it has taken enough damage (100%, then every following 50%), his next side special will be replaced with:

Suicide Strike: An Explosive Comeback!
Orange Wybel's speed doubles, and they are unable to walk off the edge and receive super armor. This lasts for a total of 3 seconds, which is when a large and powerful explosion centered on it occurs. The explosion's power grows with each sequential Suicide Strike - and its charge isn't affected by KOs. However, the charge is reset if Orange Wybel manages to KO somebody else.


However, we seem to be forgetting something quite important. Indeed, there is something very grand that we have yet to discuss. Of course, that is:

Final Smash: Disintegrator Overload
This flashy Final Smash has multiple steps, meaning more time to trap opponents within it. Additionally, Orange Wybel is completely invincible (albeit immobile) during the entire attack. Orange Wybel will place a disintegrator right in front of it. Opponents will be stunned by this, and Orange Wybel will proceed to destroy it, damaging them. The disintegrator is stripped to just its core, which traps opponents and deals more damage. After 3 seconds, the core grows massive, potentially trapping even more fighters. After another 3 seconds, the core explodes violently, heavily launching all caught in the final stage.
