SPOILER Changes In The Economy Update Resource Pack

As many of you may already know, the brand new Economy Update comes with an updated resource pack. While the changes weren't anything gigantic, there has been updates to a few mobs, blocks, items and weapon models. So I got the updated resource pack to singleplayer Minecraft and decided to see what has changed and share them here!

Very minor changes (such as grass, tree, and rotten flesh) that are not very noticeable won't be listed here. If there's any big changes in the new resource pack that I missed, feel free to say them, so that they could be added to this list.

But anyways, these are the changes that I found:

Mobs

Skeletons have finally abandoned their vanilla design.


And so have wither skeletons!


And even strays too.



Witches have also decided to change to new looks.



Zombie villager professions now have their designs updated to reflect the Wynncraft villagers.


And as you may notice from that image, there's also a brand new villager design, which is the green villager.



Blocks

Purpur blocks now look less purple.


Soul sand now has less souls in it.


Magma blocks joined the party of changing their textures from vanilla ones.


Wet sponge (or mob totems) got a new look.


Droppers went from happy to serious.


Dispensers became more square.


The piles of books got updated.


Lily pads got a slight redesign.


And here's some changes to various crops.



Items

Rings and necklaces got updated.



Many food items were changed too.


Lingering potions.


And here's some miscellaneous items that got changed.



Weapon Models
Well, basically only wands got changed. Yeah. There might be more though. Not sure.





Overall, pretty nice changes. And I would like to thank all of the people who worked on these changes. It's nice to get some old vanilla design away and make Wynncraft feel a bit more unique. I hope there will be more changes/updates in future updates!

Wow, even better than before, and that's saying something.

A way to see a game dev team is good is to think "there's nothing they can add to this" and see them add something that 100% fits in and is fully logical.

 

Everything looks good, or very good, but those ring textures...

They look wanky as hell.

I thought I was the only one who didn’t like the new ring textures. Idk, I just think they look...lazier? It’s just a loop with a circular gem on it. The old ones were more detailed.

Overall, I like these changes though. I love the new mob totem with the runes on it!

 

I don't like the skeletons.

The wheat threw me off during the beta, and the saddles are going to be hard to get used to :/

The new rings look worse to me. The angle is weird, and the fact that all of them only have one gem, all of which look almost the same other than color, is rather boring. I'd prefer to just stick with the old textures.

 

The rings also look plain, and not as detailed as the last ring textures.

But have you tried experimenting with a certain diamond tool’s durability?

 

I like almost all of the new textures, but I absolutely hate the new rings.

 

also, as everyone said
jesus christ the fuck happened to the rings

 

I know that the person who worked on the rings has put effort into redesigning them, but I really don't know what made them think that this new design is better than the old design.

 

It is changing in rainbow colors as far as I know.
